In order to truly heal, we must be willing to meet every part of ourself and feel through what comes up. The trauma we suppress becomes a shadow of energy stored within our body, which we can only distract ourselves from long enough before it becomes all-consuming. It is through our distractions that we feed the shadows and potentially create more pain. What would it look/feel like if we acknowledged and allowed the shadows within us to take up space?

In this episode, I offer my perspective on embracing the shadows within and provide insight into bridging the gap between the shadow and light parts of one’s self. When a shadow arises, it provides us with an opportunity for awareness, integration, and alchemy. This process creates a bridge between the shadow and light within, helping us to arrive in a state of purified love.

The grief process, similar to healing, is a continuous journey without a final destination. Whether grief comes from the passing of a loved one, the end of a relationship, the loss of a job, and/or in detaching from parts of one’s identity- most of us cycle through each of it’s 5 stages (i.e., denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance) countless times throughout the process.

In this episode, I jump off the diving board head first into my experiences with grief and how it’s showed up in my life. I provide insight to both the shadow aspects of my grief and supportive processes that allow me to move through each stage of grief as it arises.

In a society where there seems to be a new health fad every week that's "guaranteed to change your life," it can be overwhelming to make choices that promote an overall healthier and balanced lifestyle. Many of us become so disconnected from our bodies that we are unable to recognize the harm we are causing on a cellular level.

In this episode, Sam shares her experience of the harmful choices she was making while living in New York City and the impact it had on her mind, body, and spirit. During that time, she was forced to make changes to her lifestyle as her body began to quite literally break down. Sam provides us with insight on the importance of building a solid foundation within one's physical body and how that creates space for healing to occur on all levels.

From the time that we are born, we are flooded with programming and belief systems that influence our values and the way we show up in the world. As we get older, the unsolicited advice starts pouring in from those around us. How many times have you followed a "should" or "should not" from someone else, only to wish you had followed your intuition instead?

Each time we make a decision based on the advice or opinions of another, we are unintentionally silencing the voice within. As we connect deeper to our heart space and start to listen to our inner voice, we begin to find our aligned path.
