  • 82. Pete's Hosting: An Unexpected Journey
This week the guys invite another of Pete's friends to show, Andrew. Andrew is FAR classier than the current roster of guys. Does this make things awkward? Naw, the guys job stay utterly classless and Andrew is just pulled down the he river of stupid in his class canoe. But he takes it like an absolute champ! This week's episode isn't as long as the last one, but it's pretty damn close… What do the guys talk about out? Well, far more than they intended, to be sure. This episode is an impressive array of tangent management. The guys go through the "what we've watched" and cover content like What If…? And Ted Lasso. There's some other good stuff in there, too. In the 2nd half (which is actually 2/3) the guys discuss what is coming down the pipe for the theatrical experience over the next year+. Again, they don't exactly stay on topic, but they do cover a lot of ground. Sit down, grab a bowl or twelve of popcorn and have a long listen. As always, don't forget to like and subscribe. Every like or subscribe we get, an angel gets its wings. Or something like that. But really, don't we need more angels in these trying times? Don't be the person that costs us an angel…

  • 81. Another Kubrick in the Wall

Kevin, David, and Pete get together with a special guest from Pete's high school days, Jared. The boys talk all sorts of whats new until they settle in after the break to discuss the works of writer/director Stanley Kubrick. Enjoy all this good aural!

  • 80. Docking With Steven Amell

After a week the boys get together and let it all hang out. The show goes off the rails early on, but the train keeps on rolling!

Stop reading this and start listening!

  • 79. Charlies Angels Turned Us Into The Suicide Squad
This week, the guys deliver unto thine ears, what is probably the shortest episode in the history of APNC. How did they do that, you ask? They sent David on a fetch quest to Colorado. This doesn't mean there was a lack of content this week. Funny enough, the guys generally just watched the same things. They talk a bit about Ted Lasso and Shimgadoon and Kevin ends the show with talk of the last 2 Connery Bond films and a spin of the wheel. But between those sexy slices of bread is the real meat of this episode. The guys discuss The Suicide Squad (2021) and Charlie's Angels (2019). I'm sure you can't decide which you are more excited for, but let me tell you… it's probably neither. As you power down this snack sized meat sandwich of nonsense, remind yourself to like and subscribe. Once you finish binging and purging this content, also make sure to tell your friends how much fun you had and have them like and subscribe as well. It's more fun when everyone is doing it!

  • 78. Ted Lasso and the Jungle Cruise of Doom
This week the guys, sans Pete, cover some good ground. In the weekly review there's a lot to take in, with Banshee, Shmigadoon, Barb and Star go To Vista Del Mar, and more. David jumps in to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Opie weighs in on Lethal Weapon 3, Kevin completely skips Connery Bond for another week (what a loser), and then, the coup de gras, Alex watches the first High School Musical movie. Trust us, he absolutely loves it and has already purchased a Zack Effron full size body pillow. The guys also discuss the new Dwayne Johnson joint, Jungle Cruise. Was it good? Was it bad? You'll have to watch to find out. They also discuss Ted Lasso up to this point and we won't make you wait on that. This show is a masterpiece. Watch it immediately. We hope you enjoy this week and don't forget to like and subscribe. In the words of Danny Rojas, "APNC is liiiffeee!!!". Or something like that…

  • 77. A.I. Will Kill Us All

This week the guys are back at it after a short break. Do they have a lot to talk about? We'll let you decide on that one... But hey, back is back. They do get to talking about the Loki finale, finally. There's an array of opinions here. If you've been watching (who are we kidding, of course you have been!), odds are pretty good you know what's coming. Kevin and David continue on their franchise journeys and all is right with the world! Enjoy the episode and don't forget to like and subscribe! And say hi to your mother for us.

  • 76. Tinky Time With Chris Pratt

Strap in kids, its going to be a bumpy ride! Mythic Quest, Loki, Black Widow, franchises, video games oh my!!

This week we're giving you close to 3 hours of great aural. The boys do some catch up and David talks about some video game he's playing that Opie and Pete have never heard of. The boys talk Mythic Quest season 2 finale and season as a whole. Loki and Black Widow get picked apart and beatified next.

The third and final hour finds Kevin chopping away at some Connery Bond. David closes out Paranormal Activity in his usual sparkling manner. Pete finishes the Jurassic park films with a breakdown of of 4 dinosaur turds.

    Enjoy!

  • 75. The Incredible Vanishing Opie
This week, the guys have a few of the franchises to review. Also, Pete watches a movie that literally EVERYONE ELSE has watched. Kevin talks about a bunch of stuff that either no one should watch or is old enough that most people won't… After a clearly well planned break, the guys talk Loki and the aforementioned franchises. Then Alex finally spins and lands a winner (for everyone else, anyways). Come watch/listen and enjoy! It's truly magnificent. After you come down from the high of the episode, don't forget to like and subscribe!

  • 74. Superman & Loki
After another week off, most of the guys are back and recording. This week Pete is on hiatus, but the show must go on! Somehow, with two weeks off, Opie fails to start his franchise and Alex is still boycotting the selection system, but Kevin and David come through with reviews of their franchises. While there are many reviews of many things this week, conversation focuses heavily on Superman and Lois and Loki. First Kevin and Alex pump up Superman's superness and then the whole gang gets it on Loki. There are some spoilers in there, but if you are caught up, it's good stuff! The show finishes with a list of unpopular opinions across pop culture. Do the guys agree? If you've watched or listened before, you probably already know the answer, but come check it out anyways. As always, don't forget to like and subscribe. Also, get your significant other to subscribe. Imagine their surprise when this shows up on their playlist, Sure, it'll probably end your relationship, but were you really happy in the first place?

  • 73. When The Opie's Away, The Mice Will… Still Pull Off A Show?
Opie is out this week but the rest of the gang still gets together and manages to put together a functional show. Alex takes the reigns this week and may be vying for Opie's job. The guys throw down a handful of things they've been watching, including a smattering of reality television. Gross, right? Then Pete and David seduce us with dirty franchise talk. But the real magic (pun intended?) is in the second half, when the guys discuss Loki. The first episode is out and the guys go full spoilers as they discuss what they did and didn't love about the first episode. Were they harsh critics? Did they give it the full APNC Marvel love fest? Listen and fund out. As always, don't forget to like and subscribe. It's what Jesus would do.

About All Pop, No Culture

From the publisher's feed

Our first 81 episodes are what we now consider APNC 1.0 with our original crew: Opie, Pete, Kevin, Alex, and later, David. Through the onset of COVID and life changes, the podcast began to evolve. It was the end of an era, but we loved this crew and the memories we made. You'll notice that our earliest episodes are not on YouTube. The addition of video was never in the plans, but came to life as a surprise side effect of COVID.
