  • Prodigal Church – Limits of Liberty
One of the great truths of the Christian faith is that in Christ, we are free from religious rules and regulations. Since we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus - we have religious liberty! But while liberty is a wonderful and precious thing - we must always be careful that in the use of our liberty we aren't doing damage to someone else's faith. It can be a tricky line to walk...but one that is made simpler when we remember to put others first.

  • Prodigal Church – Arrogant or Humble?
As the divisions gained momentum and the people lived within their immaturity of the flesh, they were experiencing the result which was a breakdown in humility. Instead, they were experiencing an attitude of arrogance where they lived in judgement toward one another, questioning motives and even doubting the calling of people in leadership. Paul knew the importance of unity in everything, so he directly addresses the need for us to all be humble. Paul loved the people in this church so much that he refuses to pretend that these things were not happening and instead faces them head on.

  • Prodigal Church – Judgment of Believers
As followers of Christ - we all have work to do which God assigned for us long ago (Eph 2:10). That work is done in the power of the Holy Spirit and the foundation of that work has always been and will always be the gospel of Jesus Christ. If we are sure to keep Christ as our foundation, then we will be building something that will last.
