In this episode we continue in our Hebrews series, looking closer at Ch 10:19-11:1.

We continue to face unprecedented times and it has been a significant shock to our way of life. There is not a single person that has not been impacted by what is happening. People are facing a lot of uncertainty, hardships and questions that might not have any answers right now. Through it all, it is important for us to know that we are blessed beyond measure. God will not waste any opportunity to draw people to Himself and mature us in our faith. In the hard times we must open our eyes to the goodness of God and take hold of the opportunities He is giving. Sometimes the hardship is the blessing.

In this episode, we continue with our Hebrews series, looking closer at ch 9-10:18.

This week - as we have our first Sunday of virtual church - we're going to take a break from our Hebrews series and dig in...a little bit...about what the Christian response to Covid-19 should be.

The Bible tells us that as Christians, we should live lives of faith - and that should make us look different. We live by faith and not by fear. We live sacrificial lives instead of selfish ones. And we let our line shine rather than hide away. Dig in with us this Sunday as take a look at living without fear...and launch virtual church.

The Old Covenant was a gift of God's grace...but it wasn't the fullness of God's grace. It had faults. It was like driving on a spare donut tire. It'll do the trick for awhile - but it was never meant to be permanent. It was always meant to be a reflection of something better.

Living the Christian life is not easy, but it is definitely worth it. So far in Hebrews we have discovered the promises that Jesus is superior, that He is our Prophet and He is our High Priest. The Christian life is not just about knowing these promises but it is about living them. We are called to mature and preserve as we strive toward inheriting the fullness of these promises.

In this episode, we continue to dive deeper into our Hebrews series, looking at chapters 3-5:10.

A simple truth of the Jewish faith has always been this - redemption and forgiveness requires a sacrifice. A blood sacrifice. And as it was taught in the Mosaic Covenant - that sacrifice could only be offered by a priest. But, then came Jesus. And through his sacrifice...and his priesthood - he changed everything!

The God of the Universe is always calling to His creation. He calls us to life...to hope...and to rest. And honestly, some people listen...and some people don't. Unfortunately, the risk of hearing God...and "hardening your heart" in response is a very real danger and it's something that God warns us about in His Word....because the consequences are tragic.
