π₯ Genesis 34:1-31
Genesis 34 is the kind of chapter that makes you uncomfortable β and that's exactly why we need it. In this message, Dr. Scott Wilson walks us through one of the Bible's most difficult stories to show us something we all need to see: sin is ugly, and our response to sin can be just as ugly. But for every kind of sinner in this story β and in our own lives β there is a beautiful hope available.
Through Dinah's story, we see three responses to sin that still show up today: apathy, blindness, and revenge. None of them bring healing. None of them bring justice. And all of them remind us that we are more like the broken people in this chapter than we'd like to admit β which means we need the same grace they needed.
If you've been wronged, if you're carrying anger, or if you're simply honest enough to admit that your response to someone else's sin hasn't always been right either, this message points to the only place where real hope is found: the cross of Jesus Christ, where God chose grace over getting even with us.
π₯ Matthew 20:20-28
We live in a world obsessed with getting ahead β with being noticed, recognized, and admired. And if we're honest, that pull doesn't disappear when we walk through the church doors. In this final message of the Unworldly series, Dr. Mike Griffin takes us to Matthew 20 to ask a question that cuts right to the heart: is your ambition about your glory, or God's?
Through the story of James, John, and a mother who just wanted the best for her sons, we see how easily worldly ambition can dress itself up in spiritual clothes β and how lovingly Jesus exposes it and redirects it toward something better. The good news isn't that we have to stop being ambitious. It's that Jesus redeems our ambition and points it toward something that will actually last.
If you've ever found yourself chasing recognition, comparing yourself to others, or wondering why your drive feels a little hollow β this message is for you. There is a better ambition, and it starts with asking a different question every morning.
π₯ Ephesians 5:1-17
The average American spends over seven hours a day looking at a screen β more than we sleep, more than we spend with the people we love. So here's the honest question Pastor Jared Rhodes brings to Ephesians 5: is your life being shaped by algorithms, or transformed by the Holy Spirit?
This message isn't a guilt trip about technology β it's a practical and encouraging look at what it actually means to walk in love, live in the light, and move through life with purpose. From imitating God's love to illuminating the world around us, Paul's words to the church in Ephesus speak just as clearly to us today as they did to a city saturated with competing voices and values.
Whether you've been feeling pulled toward passivity, distracted from what matters, or just wondering what a Spirit-shaped life looks like in a screen-saturated world β this one's worth a listen.
π₯ Luke 12:13-40
What would it look like to hold your possessions a little more loosely? In this message from the Unworldly series, guest speaker Taylor Cannon walks us through Luke 12 to tackle one of Jesus' most countercultural teachings: storing up treasure in heaven instead of here on earth.
This isn't a guilt trip about money β it's an invitation to see generosity differently. Jesus reminds us that our lives are worth far more than what we own, that God already knows what we need, and that giving isn't losing something for nothing. It's trading something temporary for something that lasts.
If you've ever felt tied down by the desire for more, or wondered what it really means to live with an open hand, this message is an encouraging and practical look at why β and how β we can live untethered from the things of this world.
Relationships can be complicated. Hurt, conflict, misunderstandings, and broken trust can leave deep wounds that last for years. In Genesis 33, we see one of the Bibleβs most powerful pictures of reconciliation as Jacob and Esau meet again after twenty years of separation.
In this message, we explore how Godβs grace not only reconciles us to Himself through Jesus Christ, but also empowers us to pursue reconciliation with others. Whether you need to seek forgiveness, extend forgiveness, or trust God with a broken relationship, this passage offers hope and practical wisdom for the journey.
