First things first, COVID still being around and how did we feel about it taking up the whole year of 2020 and possibly this year! Do you see racism going away when our kids get older? Why? Amongst the black community, there is a joke about having or losing your "black card", so I ask my wife did I lose my "black card" because I am married to a white woman and have interracial children? Funny and ridiculous, but definitely exist.
Transitioning into a more self love conversation, we discuss why do we let small thins consume us and get in the way of the bigger picture? We all have the moments where the littlest thing gets under our skins and ruin our day. Why is that? Paired with that, later on in the show we talk about our insecurities.

On this episode: My wife and I discuss how white people age vs. black people, but mainly within our families. Her grandmother is 20 years older than my grandmother! Crazy, I know...
We also talk about divorce and how that is not an option for us, but my mother was once married and so was my mother in law. We talk about what we remember from those times and how both our mothers made a decision that was best for them and their kids and how they should be applauded for that!
It may seem like we talk about our kids a lot, but we do! They are smart, funny, and beautiful inside and out! We briefly talk about raising them in this current climate and how they are going to be seen as black and not "mixed". Wifey talks about her dislike for zodiac signs and prefers Enneagrams instead. I like zodiac signs, but we cover this and a whole lot more on Episode 2!
