  • Country Indie Music Artist Matt Westin Comes to Visit
Matt Westin was born and raised in a blue collar family in a middle class suburb of Pittsburgh, PA. From a young age, he pursued various passions, including academics, sports, acting, and music. After years of searching, Matt found true fulfillment in the creative outlets of acting and singing, dedicating himself to his artistic pursuits, and walking away from a promising career in engineering. With the influences of many legendary artists, ranging from Johnny Cash to Garth Brooks, “all the way” to Frank Sinatra, Matt found his voice. The thrill of live performance fed his desires, as he honed his vocal ability in bars and clubs around Pittsburgh for over a decade. His obvious drive and talent quickly won over his family's initial disapproval of his walking away from an engineering career, and they became his biggest supporters. Tragically, after a bravely fought battle with Leukemia, Matt's father succumbed to complications of chemotherapy, in April 2016. As a true family man, Matt was utterly devastated and struggled day to day with the reality of his father's death. After months of depression, instead of self-destructing, Matt decided to honor his father's memory, by finally pursuing his music career, as his father had encouraged.Deciding to make a country record in his father's honor, and being introduced by a mutual friend, to world-class musician/songwriter/producer Bryan Cole, the stage was set.

  • Author Thomas S Mulvaugh Sits Down With Us
Paul spent most of his childhood growing up on a dairy farm a few miles north of Cassville, MO. When the chores were done and playtime came, because his siblings were much older than himself, he found that his imagination was his greatest ally, allowing him to create cities and characters in his mind.  The first story he wrote was about one of the cats on the farm, making the cat into a human being, and when he got a typewriter for Christmas, more stories followed.  That was just beginning a lifelong career as a writer.

After he graduated from Cassville R-4 high school attended Crowder College and majored in business and automotive technology.  After leaving college he then went back to his first love writing, starting with several articles in various automotive magazines.   This lead to his first book Chevelle SS Restoration Guide that was published by Motorbooks International, nine other titles would follow with this publisher, before he would venture into the publishing field himself and start his own company- PAH Publishing.  With his own company he would author, under many different pen-names, more twenty other titles.

In 2015 that call back to creating stories would call him back and under the pen name Thomas S. Mulvaugh he would author and publish his first novel- Blood Necklace- a murder mystery set in his hometown of Cassville, MO.  That centers on former Kansas City Homicide Detective Rick Ryder whose high school sweetheart is murdered at Roaring River State Park, and he returns to Cassville to solve but what he finds is a twisting tale of lies that will change his life forever.

Cyphier’s first album, Overthought, was recorded as a concept record with a heavy anti-suicide message and released in early fall of 2015.  2016 saw the band release their follow-up, Subversion, while on tour in Eastern Canada.  The second album blends the experimental sound of Overthought while adding a more danceable touch.  Both albums were released through Hope Mansion Recordings.

  • Music Artist Cherish Lee Sits Down With US
Cherish Lee has seen how hard the business is first hand through her father, Johnny Lee (country music legend, Urban Cowboy’s “Lookin’ For Love”) and mother, Charlene Tilton (television sex pot vixen, Lucy Ewing on hit TV show, “DALLAS”). She quickly gained her own recognition as a singer and songwriter in THE Music City. Lee’s album is truly homegrown– a Cinderella piece that is just flat out cool. This October 2017, Lee is releasing her first single “Tequila Cowgirl,” along with her music video debut.  “Tequila Cowgirl” is about an all American girl- a hard worker; she’s got her head on straight, knows right from wrong and lives by that. She loves Jesus and tequila. She loves her animals and is thankful for what she has. While she doesn’t need a man and won’t share her bed with just anyone, she is looking forward to meeting the right one. Any guy would be considered lucky to bring her home to meet his mama, and every girl wants to be her best friend! The song has an intimate, nostalgic feel to it with a healthy dose of country music. The full, aptly- named album, “Tequila Cowgirl” is scheduled for release in January 2018. It’s honest music that tells a story, and Lee’s voice conveys it beautifully, with all the attitude that her fans have come to expect from her. www.cherishleemusic.com
