Tom the Roving Reporter and Security join Peter Ronis. We went through all the wrecked cars at Tom's place. We examine the dying art of pin striping on cars and scrolls on trucks. Tom talks about the pros and cons of trading over Christmas.  Tom talks about the limited supply of spare parts in the car repair industry.  Security's GLC 63 has problems but they do not occur when it is in the workshop. Tom announces his Mustang will not be ready for Sumernats and we fins out how to win a trophy at a car show.

Summer is here and you want to take your car out to cars and coffee, to a track meet or just out for a drive with the family!! Peter and Halil look at the things you will need to prepare on your car to go out on such an outing.  Jacob and Noah join the podcast for their first drive in a Tesla and to charge it - the 21st Century equivalent of your dad letting you fill up the car at the petrol station when you were a kid (unfortunately the audio quality outside deteriorated and was not salvageable).

Peter is joined by Ross and Jackson Galettis driving a Maserati Levante GT Hybrid.  Ross gives a run down on all the interior buttons and settings, which includes the mysterious I.C.E. button which is not for driving on ice, but runs the hybrid part of the engine. Levante means raised in Spanish, the name is consistent with Maserati naming their cars what they are, like the Quattroporte, 4 door. Peter and Halil are using the Tesla as a studio and go through the week in Vegas.  Peter talks about the Chevrolet Suburban, his time at the Concours d'Elegance, and the stories behind the SEMA show.  Halil is looking for a new car and is frustrated with the actions of some dealers marking up prices of popular cars and passing them off as immediate delivery second hand vehicles with 100km on the clock with $30,000 mark ups.

Peter is off to Las Vegas for SEMA 2022 and has a range of interviews.

Firstly, Peter interviews Laura Nash from APP EV Systems, a company based in Washington that sell battery kits for a range of classic cars such as early Porsche 911's, 1964-70 Fords Mustangs and classic Mercedes coupes from the 1960's to the 1970's. You can look into their kits at appevsystems.com

The last interview is at the IGL Coatings booth with CEO and Founder Chunchieh Keong and friend of the show from Leading Edge Car Detailing Ayman Khamas.  We learn it is Ayman's first time in Vegas and at SEMA while Keong has been at SEMA with IGL Coatings since 2014, a Malaysian based company that produces eco friendly ceramic coatings to protect the finish on cars through to the latest anti corrosion coatings to protect metals exposed to the harshest materials in places like mining districts in the Outback.

Listener Paul reached out to Peter to drive the C8 Corvette, the first Australian delivered Corvette. You will listen to the most comprehensive description of the Australian delivered Corvette. The boys discuss the interior where the cockpit is divided between the passenger and the driver.  We hear first hand how the ordering process went with Holden and HSV.  The mid engine layout leads to sub 3 second 0-100km/h times and we experience the different drive modes.  Paul also hydrauically liftrd the front end of the Corvette for a speed hump and set it in the GPS so the Corvette will remember to do that next time it travels along that road!!!!  Follow us on Instagram and email us [email protected]
