On this episode of the Allergic to Grace podcast we are recapping what happened in the entire book of Genesis. Basically, looking at the past 15 episodes in a one stop shop episode. Not as detailed but we will be hitting on the high points. Tune in to have a good refresher before moving into the book of Exodus! 

On this episode of the Allergic to Grace Podcast we see Jacob adopt Joseph's sons as his own. We see Jacob prophesize about each one of his sons. We learn of Jacob's wish to be buried in the cave with his father and his father's father and then we see Joseph take this long journey to the cave after Jacob passes. We find out that his brothers are still worried that he hasn't truly forgiven them, and Joseph comforts them that he really has forgiven them. Genesis ends with Joseph passing away, asking that his bones be carried into the Promised Land. 

On this episode if the Allergic to Grace Podcast we see Joseph AT LAST reveal himself to his brothers! We see Joseph's family relocate/move to Egypt where he provides for them. Jacob is reunited with his FAVORITE son at last. Finally, we see Joseph's genius at work and how Pharaoh comes to possess all the money, livestock, land, and people! 

On this episode of the Allergic to Grace Podcast we see Joseph's brother journey to Egypt in the hopes of returning home with food. Joseph recognizes his brothers but does not reveal himself to them right away! He accuses them of being spies and keeps one of them in prison while the others are sent to return with his youngest brother Benjamin. We see Joseph test his brothers, to see if their hearts have truly changed. Have Joseph's brothers changed? Listen in to find out! 

In this episode we focus more on Joseph's story. He was sold in Egypt to a captain of the guard as a salve, and he works his way up in his household to his #2 guy very quickly. He is falsely accused and sent to jail. While he is there he interprets dreams for some very important people in Pharoah's court. Later on he is eventually interpreting Pharoah's dreams and becomes the #2 to the Pharoah of Egypt by the time he turns 30 years old! 

This episode is jam packed with story! We see Jacob give Joseph his famous coat of many colors, Joseph has dreams about the future, and he rubs them in his brothers faces (as if that helps their relationship), his brothers hate him so much they plot to kill him but end up selling him to some travelers and Joseph ends up in Egypt. We then get to see a little more into Judah's life with his 3 sons and an unlikely hero Tamar. Tune in to find out more! 

On this episode of the Allergic to Grace podcast we see Jacob and Esau reunited for the first time in years! After their emotional reunion we see Jacob's daughter, Dinah, defiled and her brothers seeking revenge on an entire people. At the end of the episode, we see Jacob FINALLY stepping up and commanding that his family/household get rid of their false gods and God officially changes Jacob's name to Israel. 

On this episode of the Allergic to Grace podcast we continue our way through Jacob's story. We see that he has had more son's though his wives' servants, Rachel FINALLY gives him a son, Joseph, Jacob leaves Laban's house and sets off back home to face his brother, he sends Esau TONS of gifts, wrestles with God for an ENTIRE night, and God blesses him changing his name from Jacob to Israel. 

In this episode we unpack quite a lot! Isaac had a plan to bless Esau however it is foiled by Jacob and Rebekah's deception. Jacob is forced to go live with his uncle Laban becasue Esau wants to kill him. While Jacob is away he works for his uncle for 7 YEARS to marry his future wife Rachel, only to be tricked by his uncle! In this episode we continue our discussion through Genesis in chapters 25 and 26. There is a ton to unpack in these tow chapters including Abraham's death, the birth of Esau and Jacob, Esau selling his birthright, God's promise to Isaac, and Isaac and king Ab's interactions in Greer.
