  • How a Combat Veteran Became an Epic Dad | Interview w/ Drew Camp

What does it take to be an Epic Dad?

Meaning a family man that has everything from his fitness, marriage, and his relationship with his kids all dialed in.

On top of that, he continually works on leveling himself up, physically, financially, mentally and spiritually.

It is ultimately, what many of us family men want to become, but few will actually do the work that’s required to get there.

In today’s episode, I had the honor and privilege of interviewing my fellow Apogee brother, Drew Camp.

Drew is a combat veteran who founded The Epic Dad Company or TEDCO for short. Initially a natural supplements company, however it has grown into a movement that helps Dads become better athletes, leaders, and providers. TEDCO not only provides you as a dad with your pre-workout needs, but also offers a strong community and coaching programs aimed at helping dads level up in all areas of life.

Drew and I initially connected through our Apogee Strong brotherhood and I reached out to him to get help on Podcasting as he runs a popular podcast called The Epic Dad Legacy Podcast. I recently had the honor to be a guest on his show.

Please enjoy my conversation with Drew Camp as we dive into different aspects of family leadership and he shares with us the formula on how to become an Epic Dad. You’re not gonna wanna miss this.

  • How to Become a Successful Dad Entrepreneur Without Losing Your Family | Interview w/ Scott Rammage

How many family men have jumped into the business game only to lose their family in the process?

They start out with all of the best intentions in the world to start a business in order to have more freedom and be able to spend more time with their family.

However, the reality of entering entrepreneurship when you have a family to care for is that it may feel like you have to sacrifice one for the other, when in truth that may not necessarily be the case.

In today’s episode, I had the honor and privilege of interviewing my good friend, Scott Rammage.

Scott has had quite the journey as a Family Man Entrepreneur. From working as a school teacher for many years, he decided to switch gears and jump into entrepreneurship by opening up his own bike shop, which became very successful.

Yet, even with all of its success, it still wasn’t the path to financial freedom he was looking for which he’ll tell you more about in our interview.

Scott is also passionate about helping men become leaders in their homes and communities, which is why he co-founded The Brotherhood of Fatherhood, a group for men to help each other step up and lead, do hard things and never settle on good enough. He is also the host of The Brotherhood of Fatherhood Podcast which I had the pleasure of being on.

Currently, he and his wife have now been happily married for over 26 years and they have 2 teenage boys whom they share an unbreakable bond with. He is also the owner of Media Machine, a company that provides media services, Virtual Assistants, and Podcast production to small businesses and coaches.

With all of his accomplishments, one of the best things about Scott is that he is a Good, Solid Man who works hard to be the leader his family deserves.

Please enjoy our conversation together as we dive into Scott’s background from his relationship with his Dad and the impact that had on him, to how he shows up for his family now.

  • 7 Mistakes Keeping You From Getting The Respect You Desire From Your Wife

There’s a general consensus out there for most family men that they desire to be respected by their wives more than loved.

I tend to agree that respect is a definite must in every marriage and it does tend to be more valued by the man than the wife.

However, just like anything else, respect is earned, not demanded or entitled to.

And if you’re a married man, there may be some things you’re doing right now that are keeping you from getting the respect you desire from your wife.

In this week’s episode, I dive into 7 mistakes you could be making that are hurting your chances to earn that respect from your wife.

  • What The Red Pill Movement And Church Get Wrong About Being A Good Man | Interview w/ Ryan King

We all have a dad story about how our father failed us or empowered us to be better men.

And a lot of us in my generation didn’t grow up with a father. Or if they did, their father wasn’t really there for them or had very little influence on them.

Sometimes we get caught up in playing the blame game for what our father didn’t do and we stay there, without moving on.

I know I did this for a large part of my life. And I was angry at my dad for all of his failures when it came to me, my younger brother and my younger half sister.

It took me a while to realize that, he was operating with the only examples and resources he had at his disposal. There was no other man there trying to show him how to be a better dad, husband or man. He couldn’t jump on YouTube and type that in to get an answer. We’re pretty fortunate to live in the time we do.

On this episode, I had the privilege and honor to interview a man who I’ve been learning from through his content on Instagram. His name is Ryan King.

Ryan has a rapidly growing and successful Instagram page called The Wisdom Of Kings that speaks to masculinity and what it means to be a good man. Growing up heavily involved in Sports as a Baseball Pitcher, he learned a lot of hard lessons, but most importantly he learned how to always bet on himself and meet any challenge head on.

Ryan told everyone, including his wife, at the age of 25 that he would make enough money and retire by the age of 35. Of course no one believed him, but the man made it happen anyways. Personally, that’s what I really admire about Ryan is his level of certainty and confidence that he will be successful in anything he tackles.

Please enjoy my conversation with Ryan King as we dive into topics surrounding fatherhood, family life, and the infamous red pill movement that’s gained so much traction these past few years.

  • How An Army Ranger Tackles Leading A Family And Going Back to Civilian Life | Interview w/ Chris Nastasi

So many men and women put their life on the line every single day so that we can have our freedoms here in this country. We just got done celebrating Memorial Day this past weekend. Taking time to remember all of our fallen heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

And I have to ask this question, as family leading men, are we living in a way that honors their sacrifices? Are we showing up as a present husband and father for our family? Are we progressing as men and learning how to become more capable in all areas of life? How are we actually investing our time? These are all great questions that I ask myself on a daily basis.

This past weekend I had the honor and privilege to interview my fellow brother Chris Nastasi. Chris is a Veteran Army Ranger who felt compelled and called to serve his country in his late 20s. Unlike many men that join right out of high school, Chris had already established a life and career when he decided to go serve.

Not only is this man a Savage and very capable, he is also a Family Man with an amazing wife and 2 kids. He’s a good man who’s conquered a lot of adversity and now pours into helping other men do the same. Please enjoy our conversation as we discuss his story and the many lessons he’s picked up throughout his journey.

And just recently at the start of this year, he co-founded Apogee Strong Dads which is a mentorship program for fathers to become better family leaders. A program that I am currently a part of and one that I can assure you first hand is completely life changing.

    • 3 Common Mistakes Made By Men Who Just Got Married

When we get married, we as men, have a certain vision of what our marriage is gonna look like. Everything seems to be going pretty well that first year of marriage when you’re still in that newlywed status. But at a certain point, those emotional highs leave the relationship. And this is where most men start making some crucial mistakes in their marriage that slowly start pushing your wife away.

This happened to me in my own marriage in just our second year. We were one court trip away from divorce had I not figured out that I was making these mistakes and made some significant changes in my life.

If you’re a man, that just got married, I don’t want you to make the same mistakes I made. I want you to set yourself up with a strong marriage right from the start. And for those of you that have been married for quite some time, this will be a good refresher for you as well.
