For real tho, y’all, this Eclipse in Aries is just the Beginning (of the End). Time has been extra spiralic + warpy lately, and I have a feeling it is how babies + mothers might feel as they prepare to enter the world. Or as dying folks might feel as they prepare to leave it. I have not lived to have either of those experiences yet, so it’s all conjecture, but I do know my body has once been moss + soil + stone + fungi from this Good Earth, rising and falling in cycles of regeneration. So yes, it’s a little bit like that.

The way the sky turns violet hues of technicolor pastels before a storm. Ecstatic, and singing a song of preparation. Smoke signals. The sensations of anxious excitement in our belly before we do something big. I have hopes this is exactly what the Earth + Sky are signaling. The beginning of something deep, meaningful, and transformative.

Death is a doorway. A closure is another form of opening. We have our hand on the wheel, the Great Ship of our lives slowly turning. Never forget this; YOU are the agent of change, indeed my friend. Isn’t that exactly what the Eclipses in Aries have been trying to help us to reclaim over the past couple years? It is YOU. Your will, your desires, your vision. Dreaming the world into being, and standing behind it. Into action. We must move now, it is time to WAKE UP. Can you hear the singing?

Aries in all things as the force that initiates. ‘THE AUDACITY OF SPRING’! After a Winter season of our life, within and around us, Aries says WAKE UP! WAKEFUL HEARTS! ALL OF LIFE YEARNS FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THIS SONG!

And so we find our note and learn to harmonize. We use our voice + our bodies to make the world right. And most of all, we HOLD THE LINE.

What type of warrior do you want to be? This is not a battle of violence, no — it is deeply rooted in the heart. It is about defending the lives of those we will one day hand the world down to, many generations from now. It is fighting for their right, OUR right, to exist. To live in a world worth fighting for.

It is time. The strength has always been within. This final eclipse in Aries is the prayer answered by your own voice, singing itself back into being. Heart beating. There is nothing you don’t already have within you; you just need a reason to call it forth. Wake it up! WAKE UP! <3

Hi friends ! How are you doing? How was the first Virgo Eclipse of this rodeo? Are ya winnin, son?

Seriously tho — I am writing this the morning after the Virgo eclipse, and I can really feel the heat / integration brewing. All the more reason to create space within for spaciousness, awareness, and presence. Change is afoot; as within, so without.

This week, the alchemy continues. Venus + Mercury are officially both moving retrograde together thru Aries, inviting us to SLOWWWW DOWN. Focus on creating the conditions within for clarity to emerge. Resist the urge to burn it all down. Hang in there.

The mark of retrogrades thru Aries, honestly, can look like impulsivity. Acting without considering the long-term consequences. I’ve said it before — but this week, this month really, is not the time for big decision making + swift action. That comes later in April. For now, hold fast + let your body move the big energies thru. They have intelligence in + of themselves — doesn’t necessarily mean we should act on our every impulse.

This week, we do have a bit of a gift revealing itself; as Venus + Mercury backtrack thru Aries, they will cross paths with the SUN! This is what we call a Cazimi, when a planet passes thru the Solar Temple. It gets recharged + renewed, a flash of clarity, an “AHA” moment potentiates within.

Our task? Create the conditions internally for that clarity to emerge. Rather than get caught up on what’s happening outside of you, bring it inside + let it alchemize. Emotions are energy in motion baby; let them move. Processing creates the conditions for clarity, rather than stewing + internalizing the fire until it pops out the side. Embodied practices can be helpful for all this Aries energy.

Oh fair maiden, the one that teaches us how to attune our bodies to the rhythms of the Natural World. How contorted this energy can become by the standards of Empire. What is at its core a highly-evolved intelligence of organization and sustainability, has now become a cog in the wheel of capitalism. The True Heart of Virgo is as pure as the white bone of the moon, now blackened by the soot of unattainable perfectionist standards.

I have said it before & I’ll say it again; I believe that Virgo is one of the archetypes that is most susceptible to capitalist conditioning. The very narratives that are embedded into these standards of productivity + perfectionism, sink into the exact weak spot of Virgoian ideals. Because of this, Virgo is a sign that is most often misunderstood and cast off by surface-level interpretations of what is actually a very complex + painful internalized conditioning of serious oppressive ideologies.

As a person with a stellium in Virgo, I am speaking a bit from experience here. I have spent half of my life working to excavate and re-pattern these destructive tendencies, that lead one to believe their worth is based on how much they can produce or contribute to society. There is NO REST for the Earnest Heart of Virgo. It’s blueprint is oriented towards being of Service, a trait that is so quickly taken advantage of by a society that wants humans as machines to do their bidding.

When we peel back the many layers of conditioning + internalized patterns around these productivity standards, we see an intelligence that is highly refined and immaculate in essence. There is no other archetype as attuned to rhythms, nature’s cycles, and the literal organization of Creation as Virgo. It is an EARTH SIGN ruled by MERCURY. It is the LITERAL intelligence of the natural world, embodied.

At its core, this is a sincere gift to the world. Virgo is attuned not only to the body as the Earth, but the Collective Body that functions as a honeybee hive. Immaculate design organized within the patterns + cycles of nature. When applied to how we think about sustainable systems of growth + productivity, the intelligence of Virgo is the exact answer to the question of truly sustainable, cyclical growth. This is an innate intelligence, an offering of service to both the community + the Earth itself.

When our systems follow the rhythms of nature, they support not just the survival but the THRIVING of our communities. And when our individual bodies are also supported in their truly cyclical, seasonal nature, WE ourselves become more able to sustain our own energy + capacity, to truly be of service to the world.

BUT — the crux of it is, we live within a socio-cultural paradigm that exists in EXACT opposition to this cyclical intelligence. Capitalism demands productivity at all times, at all costs. There is no rest - we can’t afford it. The collective body (and thus the individual) is meant to function as a machine, another cog in the wheel. This is not sustainable, and intentionally creates burnout as a function of Empire. When we are resourced, energized, centered in our power, we are of greatest threat to the system. When we’re exhausted, we don’t have the will to fight back. We are being subliminally beaten into submission by a culture that asks us to earn our right to exist.

Our body has biological boundaries. It needs rest. It needs rhythm. It has seasons, just like the Earth. So what do we do when capitalism won’t let us rest during a Wintering season in our life? How do we survive?

These questions, in my opinion, are the large-scale inquiries this Virgo eclipse cycle is bringing forth. We will continue to excavate them over the next two years quite intensely, yet a lifetime of pattern-change unfolds from there. It will take generations to create this structural + systemic change, that we may not see fulfilled in our own lifetime.

When we REST, we rest for the Ancestors, both those that came before us and those that will come after us. A New Legacy of truly sustainable collective care is being seeded. Our task now is to identify the patterns, beliefs, and internalized oppressive ideologies that perpetuate this high-functioning productivity based capitalist paradigm.

We are not casting the Virgo parts into shame + exile; we are casting out the voices that have taken advantage of and coopted this energy for its own manipulative benefit. We are turing over the soil of the Virgo within us all, purging the destructive tendencies from our own body and thus the collective body.

It MUST start at the individual level. We must be able to identify the voice of the critic within, the part that polices our ability to REST without feeling guilty. The voice that holds a standard to perfection towards anything we do. The voice that tells us our worthiness to exist is directly tied to our productivity, or how much we can ‘do’.

We begin by transforming this relationship within ourselves, to then begin considering how we can transform the structures of the overculture to reflect this state of wellness. It ripples out into our communities, into the spaces we create, into our relationships, and how we choose to live our lives. Each drop in the pool creates an ocean of change. This is an embodied revolution.

REMEMBER: your REST is an act of RESISTANCE in a culture that functions in opposition to it. YOUR REST IS REVOLUTIONARY. When you rest, you are not only reclaiming this act of radical self-honoring for yourself, BUT YOU’RE ALSO RESTING FOR THE ANCESTORS THAT DIDN’T GET TO.

A note on the eclipse itself; this is NOT a time for Ritual Magick + Manifestation. This is a time for self-reflection, purging, catharsis, meditation, and EMBODIMENT. Move these patterns out of your body. They are in there. <3

Hi my friends — whew! This is a big week. In many ways, it is a turning point, a breaking open of the tension that’s had us contorted in discomfort + liminality since last October. Yes, this is a full-circle moment indeed!!

Two major astrological events happening this week; Mars stations DIRECT in Cancer on Sunday, Feb 23, followed by a Pisces New Moon on Thursday Feb 27th! Interestingly enough, both of these transits are a call-back to what was coming up for us last October, in both the watery realms of Pisces + Cancer in our birth charts.

When a planet stations direct again after being retrograde, it can feel clunky before it gets clearer. Mars entered its pre-retrograde shadow at the very beginning of October 2024, which means it has now moved backwards ALL the way to the part of our charts that it began its wayward journey, almost 6 whole months ago.

Mars is stationing direct on Sunday, Feb 23rd at 17* of Cancer, right in the middle of this zodiac sign. Which means if you have any Natal placements at 15-19* of Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) you’re gonna feel it more than others. And/or, if your chart ruler is Mars (Scorpio + Aries Risings) you will likely feel it too.

Mars direct is a BREAKING wide open of tension, something that we’ve likely been navigating since last Fall. Mars has not only been retrograde since December, but it’s also been in the sign of its fall; Cancer. A double whammy of conflict, agitation, passive aggression, and overall defeat. The perfect recipe for getting our feelings hurt, over and over again. It’s very likely we’ve felt this on personal AND collective levels, as anyone in America can see, since late 2024.

Damn, it’s been a rough ride. So, when I say Mars direct signals some tension breaking, I say it with a hopeful heart. And the knowing that it usually takes a few weeks before we really feel things soften + relieve the tension we’ve been so bound up in for months on end. Does our body even remember what it feels like to not be bracing for impact? :/

Interestingly enough, the Pisces New Moon on Thursday Feb 27th is ALSO a call-back moment to Fall 2024. We had a Pisces Full Moon / minor Eclipse last September 17th, 2024 — which gave us a sneak preview to what the Pisces/Virgo Eclipse Axis will be helping us to excavate over the next year.

This New Moon in Pisces is NOT an eclipse, as it’s not close enough to the North Node to be considered one. However, it DOES offer us a beautiful opportunity to set some clear intentions around the Pisces part of our chart for the year to come, as our next Full Moon in Pisces (September 2025) will be a full blown eclipse.

IMHO, all of the Astrology this week encourages a sense of cleansing + renewal. These water signs have been WORKING us in regards to refining our emotional processes, understanding how we REALLY feel about our lives right now, and visioning the future from there.

In the clarity of our inner waters, we are more easily able to see what it is that we truly desire.

Give yourself permission this week to NOT have it all figured out, but rather, create the conditions within for spaciousness + peace of mind, so that clarity may emerge when it’s time.

There is no rush, my friend — and dreaming is a necessary part of the process. Give yourself permission to VISION + DREAM uninhibited, from a place of curiosity + discovery. The Pisces New Moon in particular offers an abundant creative wealth of potential possibilities, which we are meant to explore as a means of identifying the dream that truly wants to be made a reality.

Like Andrea talked about on last week’s Constellations podcast interview, the practice of creative channeling can sometimes be like fishing; ‘dropping the line of your curiosity into the pool of pure potential, waiting for something to bite.’ Let your intuition guide you, follow the felt sense. That is what the water signs within teach us how to do best.

Again, allow pragmatism + planning to come later. IMO, this week is not about discerning whether or not our dreams are ‘possible’. Let the Virgo Eclipse in a couple weeks navigate all your skeptical parts, and show you the voices that are inhibiting your ability to dream bigger. The first part of any creative act is making space for the visions to move us.

Our skeptical practical parts can stunt this process and stop us from dreaming, before we’ve even let ourselves invision what MIGHT be possible. The truth is, as convincing as they may be, our skeptical pragmatic parts don’t actually know what is or isn’t possible yet, either. They’re usually just trying to protect us from imagined future disappointment. Tell them thank you, and to kindly go take a tea break. This week is just about renewing our sense of wonder, possibility + discovery. Let yourself dream, yes, even BIGGER.

This week, the Sun enters Pisces and officially initiates the season of dissolution. The calm before the storm, the dark before the dawn; Pisces is the space between endings + beginnings, between death + rebirth.

Like the suspended state at the top of each breath, this is the place where EVERYTHING + NOTHING exists all at once. The sea of puer potential, access to the unmanifest magick of the dream world; Pisces contains the multitudes from which we birth the Dream into manifestation.

Mercury entered Pisces at the end of last week, and I share a bit about what it means for the faculty of MIND that Mercury represents to be in its state of detriment, aka - the place of its secret superpowers - in Pisces. *Episode on imagination mentioned;

Mercury is preparing for retrograde in March, as is Venus, at the same time that Neptune + Saturn are preparing to enter Aries. There is a LoT of in-between energies at play, the perfect opportunity to release our attachments to outcome / identification and give way to the dissolution state of pure, unbound potential.

Beyond all your identities + expectations, anything is possible. For the next few weeks, let yourself DREAM, and try your best to release the urgency to have it all figured out.
