The main focus was mental health as an underlying issue when it comes to addiction, and that conversation was with Dr. Brophy- medical director of the Gaiser Center and local physician who's board certified in both addiction medicine and emergency medicine, Joe Mahoney- executive director at the Ellen O'Brien Gasier Center, licensed social worker with 16 years of experience in the mental and behavioral health fields. The guests have decades of experience when it comes to recovery in addiction, the neuroscience, trauma, physical side as well as stigma surrounding addiction. You DO NOT want to miss this episode. This is Part I of II, which will drop a week from today.
