David Broido and I met at Comic Con, San Diego’s annual 4-day nerd fest David is a 70% disabled combat veteran who cosplays with his service dog. His alter ego is a character who looks to be transplanted straight from Fallout. The glowing gun, post apocalyptic gear, blinded white eye, and weaponized dog harness catch your eyes and hold them. You can usually find him surrounded by paparazzi at these types of conventions David agreed to give us a glimpse behind the spikes, distressed gear packs, and glowing weapons into the heart of why he loves what he does and who his alter ego is.
This week’s theme is clairvoyance. Karen Cantrell is an Animal Whisperer… she can communicate with animals, y’all!! She uses a technique that she calls vibrational frequency, where she becomes one with the animal and shares their story. Listen in to her session with Lina and her two cats: Pagani and Otorongo. This session becomes a deep look into the nature of who we are, what our soul connections and contracts are with our animals, and how we can become more connected to them. Fascinating!! Then Karen and I go into her origin story, and talk about everything from learning how to talk to your animal, to tapping into the group consciousness of elephants. Listen in!!
This week’s theme is clairvoyance. Today’s interview is with Tami Urbanek, a medium and clairvoyant. Tami is able to connect with spirit guides, and offers guidance by passing along what she’s hears from the individual’s spirit guides. She shares her origin story of how she first discovered her abilities, and what it took for her to step into acceptance of her talent. Tami shares an example of how she works with Spirit guides from her podcast, “Journey for Truth”, and then shares with us the experience behind her connection to other realms. Awesome!
This week’s theme is spirituality. Today we talk with Jonah White, the founder and creator of Billy Bob Teeth. He’s sold over 20 million pairs of fake teeth, giving people instant access to an alter ego as just one of his many products. We talk about past lives, how they influence who we are today, shape our current identity, and what purpose Alter Egos have in helping us navigate the world we are in if it conflicts with our natural way of doing things. Jonah has an in depth and interesting take on alter egos. We dive 4 layers deep under the surface, and compare the alter egos of the Neanderthal and the Modern Human. We talk about how his alter ego has helped him in his business, and how he founded “Billy Bob Products”.
This week’s theme is spirituality. Our guest, Dave Booda, has created a musical persona named Boodananda to poke fun at New Age spirituality. He plays us Boodananda’s song, “I accept you”, which will touch the heart of anyone who knows what “manifesting”, “chakras”, and “energy” are. Yep, it will get you right in the heart chakra.
Adelaide is multitalented to the extreme! I’m featuring her in the week of burlesque because that’s how we met… but she is much more than one type of artist. In this episode we focus on THREE of her Alter Egos: Miss Giggles, Rapelaide, and Merlaidy. Miss Giggles is the kids clown who draws and paints and is a child at heart, but in an adult setting she strips down with a silly fun burlesque tease. Rapelaide is a rapper, flowing, confident, and expressed. You’ll get to hear one of her raps, “I’m an Artist!”. Merlaidy is a mermaid, Adelaide feels most connected with her. She has a whole storyline about how she comes to shore and can transform to a human. Besides all of these things, Adelaide Marcus is also a very talented visual artist. Check out her links below to get connected to her and her work.
Jet Noir is one of the few men in the Burlesque industry. He shares his unique perspective and tells us what what is behind the creation of his persona, burlesque acts, and what being a straight male in this industry allows for him. Don’t miss it, he’s fabulous!
Part 2: Julie Woods introduces us to 3 more of the beings who inhabit her body: Imp, LJ, and Sky. Learn more about the 24 who split time with her on this planet. Some of them are human, some animal, and some from another dimension. We touch on Garr, Cleo, Monster, and Cy. Where they come from, who they are, and what they do. Don’t miss this one!
Julie is a “Multiple” with 24 entities who share her one body. Her titles vary from the Street Wolf with a Harvard Degree, to the Urban Bliss Shaman. On this episode, we talk about what it’s like to be *them*. What challenges she faces, what she’s learned, and we get to meet JuJu, the 5 year old who shares Julie’s body. This week we have 2 episodes of Julie, because there’s way too much to fit in one episode. Besides, its kind of appropriate to have multiple episodes about a multiple. Make sure to listen to Episode 9 as well, to hear the rest of Julie’s story.
