As we wrap up our message series on Kingdom Impact we are encouraged to reconsider our own scarcity mindset...

What is that? Well, it's a state of mind in which you don't think or believe God CAN take care of the situation.

A scarcity mindset is looking in the face of an UNREASONABLY GENEROUS God and telling ourselves that there just isn’t enough.  A scarcity mindset is… fundamentally a lack of trust… a lack of faith… but, more than anything, it is a lack of personally KNOWING God.

As we continue to study the life of Elisha we realize that our scarcity mindset comes from a lack of relationship with God, a relationship that gives us the absolute certainly  that God's got this.

“Elisha clearly had a mind-set of the abundance of God. He also knew that God would allow us to settle for less if we did not ask for the more.”

When all seems hard, dark, and lost - remember this:

"I can't. God can."

"Submitting to one another in the fear of Christ.”  What does this mean in regards to your marriage, or family?

As we're continuing our journey in the letters written by Paul, Pastor Lee leads us in a conversation about how we're suppose to live well and joyfully with others within our household. 

What does submission look like? And is there a hierarchy? And what can we learn about the culture back then but still apply to our culture today?

Like it or not, your family is where you have the most opportunities to grow the fruit of the Spirit. You are given the opportunity to experience the agonizing development of patience. You are given opportunities to grow in kindness… because, as Paul says elsewhere and to paraphrase, if you’re not going to be kind to those who live in your home… what hope do you have to learn to be kind to people “out there?”
