On episode 191 I am joined by Mike Maher, breathwork coach and host of one of the most popular breathwork channels on YouTube, Take a Deep Breath.

After Mikes marriage ended in 2016, lost and curious, Mike spent a week with Wim Hof after hearing him on the Joe Rogan and Tangentially speaking podcasts. The Ice Man introduced Mike to Ice Baths, Climbing freezing cold mountains in only shorts and of course, breathwork. Mike was obsessed and ended up quitting his corporate job if 15 years and Walked Across Spain for El Camino then went onto traveling then around the world and starting a YouTube channel all about breathing.

Mike Maher is now the founder of TAKE A DEEP BREATH, a breathwork channel on YouTube and host of the Breathwork podcast BREATHCAST, Mike has trained as an Oxygen Advantage Instructor & Buteyko Practitioner under Patrick McKeown, Mikes YouTube Channel has over 200 videos dedicated to breathwork, the channel is one of the largest in its field with over 143k subscribers and 19 million views, all of Mikes breathwork content is free and available for people to go and try.

Last week I shared an insight from Jonny Wilkinson, so it only fair I share an insight from the other candidate for greatest fly half of all time. At the age of 28, Dan Carter, was in his prime. He got injured in the training camp prior to the 2011 world cup which was based in his home country of New Zealand. Remembering the goal he set himself, instead of wallowing in self-pity, he focused on doing what an All Black great would do... which was to be a great team mate. This is a reminder that in this present moment, we can benefit from the wisdom, guidance and accountability of our future selves. On episode 190 I am joined by Craig White, consultant and founder of Men Without Masks.

Craig is fascinated by Human Behaviour and Performance for over 25 years. During this time he has served as a High-Performance Mentor, an Elite Sports Coach, having coached at International Level in Professional Rugby Union, been a Life Coach, Yoga and Meditation Teacher, and a Business Owner.

​As a World Rugby Consultant, Craig travels the world, supporting the development of growing Rugby Nations. He is now actively involved in supporting Fiji in their quest for success at the Rugby World Cup in 2023

Craig is also consulting for Harlequins in the UK Rugby Premiership. The role allows him to give advice on leadership, culture, interpersonal skills, and high-performance.

In 2016 Craig created an organisation called Men Without Masks dedicated to supporting the lives of men, empowering them to live a life of purpose. We run men's retreats and offer private coaching. The retreats are incredibly humbling and sacred to him.

Everyday, Craig is learning more about himself, his place in the world, and how he can share his gifts with others. He is happy to say that he still knows nothing. For, he will always have a beginners mind. Learning never stops.
