Julie Fakler and Dave Nichols, Executive Directors of PCA and RCHS respectively gave specifics concerning a Volunteer Fair this Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Buckham West in Faribault. There are two different time frames for people to stop by and learn about volunteer needs from approximately 20 non-profits in the area.

District 19 Senator John Jasinski says fraud will definitely be a topic of conversation during the upcoming state legislative session which starts February 17. He credited the Trump Administration with focusing on the issue recently giving it more attention by the media, Jasinski said his colleagues have been trying since 2018 to get the Walz Administration to address the issue.

District 19A State Representative Keith Allen of Kenyon discusses his priorities for the next legislative session that opens February 17, 2026. He is very upset the school bus stop arm law has not been fully enforced and want to change some of the language.

John Sherwin told us the last snow emergency resulted in a number of vehicles being towed. It's something they don't like to do but the most efficient way to clear the streets of snow is to clear them of vehicles. No parking is allowed on any city streets when a snow emergency is declared. This program did have a technical glitch so it is not here in it's entirety.
