And it's spoken by Dorian himself, who is obviously influenced by the hedonistic values of Lord Henry. And so he says, I have never searched for happiness. Who wants happiness? I have searched for pleasure."

"That stillness is not a sign of laziness or inaction. It's a space where awareness grows and clarity emerges. Another striking part is his use of metaphors from nature, the idea that mindfulness is like sitting beside a stream and watching your thoughts flow by rather than jumping into swim against them. That visual has helped me personally to be less reactive and more observant in my day to day life. What sets this book apart from me is that it does not tell you what to feel."
