A fairly recent phenomenon is the powerful strength of Christian Music and Contemporary Christian Radio.  It's no longer all about choirs, hymns and organ music.  Music that has a solid Christian message wrapped in  a contemporary music package has become instrumental in attracting new and younger Jesus followers.  With it's early roots in the 70's and 80's  contemporary Christian music has become a  90's and 2000's staple for churches, and radio stations.  Christian Radio stations that once barely showed up in audience ratings have become a contender for top ratings in most cities around the country.

Mark Ramsey knows more about this radio format and the music they play than anyone else in America, and he shares his knowledge on this Amazing Greats episode.

No Way.  In fact laughter may be one of God's greatest gifts.  It is an expression of pure joy.   C.S. Lewis said that the purest laughter on earth dwells in the kingdom of joy.
Eccl. 3:4 says that for people, “there is a time to laugh"  and If you look close there are examples of "zingers"  throughout the Bible.
In this episode of Amazing Greats we have the pleasure of talking with comedic actor and stand up comic (and pastor), Thor Ramsey, and the director of the new movie  "CHURCH PEOPLE",  Christopher Shawn Shaw.   These guys were "crazy fun" to talk to and the conversation is filled with not only laughter...but wisdom and insight.

I guarantee you've heard her....and now you get to meet the woman behind the voice.  She's maybe the busiest woman  voice actor in the country.  She's great at it!  From the voice of a raspy pre-teen animated character to the powerful voice on the Academy awards, Melissa Disney does it all.  On this awesome episode you'll hear her wild romp through every possible voice acting opportunity:  movie trailers, commercials, video games, animation, radio shows, a Christian meditation app..... she's even recorded a couple of albums along the way.   As amazing as her career has been, her faith story is just as amazing.   Walking through depression, contemplating suicide and feeling like there is a battle for her soul is all a part of her journey.

This was one of my favorite conversations with a champion of a guy.  So many great stories and he shared some vulnerable moments.

NFL quarterback Jeff Kemp shares his worst moment in life and how it became his most spiritual moment.

Plus What he learned from his three favorite coaches.

He explains the value of a consumer attitude versus an investor attitude in relationships…

He outlines his three strategies for turning trials into triumphs

You’ll hear about how identity is something not earned, but received…

Also listen for Jeff’s explanation on how in prayer,  it’s maybe more important to ask God to “FIX ME”….not just ... “FIX MY CIRCUMSTANCES.”

Wow…don’t wait, jump in and enjoy Jeff Kemp’s life story and insights.
