NDE vs SDE.
In this moving conversation, Eric talks with Amber Kasic about the night she accompanied her father as he was dying in 2020 and unexpectedly experienced what’s known as a shared death experience (SDE) — a spiritually transformative moment in which she felt her father’s soul transition before his physical body died.
In this SDE, Amber describes holding her father’s hand in hospice, dropping into pure love and surrender, and suddenly feeling a powerful, "whooshing" presence move through her body, down her arm, and into her father — along with the unshakable knowing: “We are eternally bonded.”
That NDE/SDE moment erased her fear of death, changed her view of the soul, and ultimately led her to serve others as an evidential medium and end-of-life coach.
She and Eric also talk about why some souls seem to “leave” before the last breath, terminal lucidity (or “the surge”), how families can better meet death as sacred instead of terrifying, and how her dad later proved his continued presence to her mom…with pudding.
