Happy Sunday. Music is a source of solace from the stressors of life for me. It’s needed more than ever in our current time. I again worked with noise sources to produce something that I found calming. It’s kind of analogous to life lately. Lots of noise and it’s a challenge to find calm and peace. We do what we can.

Happy Sunday y’all! I’m happy that I found more time to jam around on the synth rack today. Lots of experimentation again, with noise serving as the basis for all things in this track. I’d been dabbling with more conventional sequencing for a while and I’m back to using the Xaoc Leibniz modules for some binary pattern derived drum sequencing. In spite of how it may sound, I find I enjoy discovering patterns that way because it feels less like programming.

Happy Sunday evening. Time for a jam and I’ve got another upbeat tune to share. Not sure if this sort of thing is ambient, but it is a bunch of noodling around. As usual, I did some experimentation with new sounds. Last time I mentioned that I ran some noise through my Spectraphon to create the melody. There’s more of that going on in today’s jam. Additionally, the percussion sounds are all generated with noise, with the exception of a sine wave contributing to the kick sound. I really enjoyed sculpting the sounds from various noise sources. I think I’m on to something there.

It’s a way of making something hauntingly beautiful from a barrage of noise.

Happy Sunday evening! I’m kind of down to the wire on today’s jam. It has been a busy working weekend and I didn’t think I was going to have time to record anything. I managed to get things done with a couple of hours left in the day thankfully.

Today’s recording is some experimentation with various noise recorded into Morphagene and then played through Spectraphon for spectral reinterpretation of the sounds. This is a very manual modular effort as I didn’t have time to really think through a patch. There is a sequence running for the pitch, but everything else is pretty much hands-on fiddling with the knobs.

The Eloquencer sequencer I got with some trading a couple weeks back has moved to take center stage in sequencing duties. It’s a versatile piece of gear that allows me to drive percussion and melodic stuff from one device. I had a lot of fun jamming on it today. Grab some headphones and check it out.

Happy Sunday everyone! It’s a beautiful day here and now that I’ve got my jam for the day recorded, I think I’m going to get outside for a bit. I mentioned last time that I’d picked up a Squarp Hermod sequencer. After playing with it during the week, I decided that while it was fine for melodic stuff, I wasn’t crazy about it for percussion. As luck would have it my local store, Switched On, where I got the Hermod had a great deal on a Winter Modular Eloquencer. I was able to exchange the Hermod for not much more. I’d been eyeing the Eloquencer for quite a while and always thought it was a bit pricey until I found a reasonably priced used one.
