Happy Sunday! I’m finally getting a jam posted before night fall! The weather is a bit dreary outside, so I’m creating some fun inside today. I picked up a used Square Hermod sequencer for cheap yesterday and this was my first jam with it. I put this crazy energetic little piece together pretty quickly with it. I think it’s a keeper.

Happy Sunday evening folks. I’m running late again getting something recorded today. We had a water leak in our kitchen that we’ve had to deal with the past couple of days. There are loud fans and industrial dehumidifier in the kitchen running that made it tough to make music this weekend.

I did something a little different and ran some nature sounds through Morphagene and Panharmonium. The result is kind of moody and eerie. It seems fitting somehow.

Happy Sunday evening! Christmas came and went in a blur for me. I’ve been trying to get some down time in for a few days. That’s not an easy thing for me to do. I’m always busy doing something! In addition to the new tune, I’m trying something else new. I’m demoing an app called Spool that makes it kind of easy to put some visuals to music. I’d love to do more with video, but it would take more time than I can spare. While I’ve got some time off for the holidays, I’ll play with this app a bit and see if it works for me.

I’m hoping to get some jam time not just on my synth rack, but also on drums and bass guitar - the latter of which I’ve been slowly trying to learn over the years. I’ll have to dust off the cobwebs since I’ve hardly had time to touch the bass this year with everything else going on.

Happy Sunday y’all! I’m in a jamming mood today with some inspiration from a distortion module I picked up last week (yay Cyber Monday.) I’ve been wanting to dabble in some heavier, crunchier sounds lately. After all, I’m an old heavy metal drummer at heart. I was curious to see if I could get some distorted guitar-like sounds out of my modular rig. When I saw a modular version of the venerable Rat guitar pedal, I just had to give it a try. It doesn’t disappoint.

Geeky stuff in a way - just the thing that keeps my engineering mind entertained.
