Todays episode is very special to me because I get to sit down and interview my friend Brian Pater! We talk about Brians experiences working in NBCs Grimm, how to start working with big networks and the advice he got from Russell Hornsby that can definitely encourage ANY actor trying to get their footing in the industry. We also discuss Brians experience in learning parkour, how to stay motivated after getting out of the educational system and overcoming fear based decisions.
I hope you enjoy and share with a friend!

In todays episode, we will be discussing Body Shaming in the Modeling Industry as well as day to day life. We're living in a current state of normalizing self deprecation which isn't a great foundation to be standing on when self esteem is low. I have found in myself that a lot of my body shame came from comparison and following model weight requirements starting out in this industry. I don't believe there is a mark we need to hit in order to be "beautiful" because beauty is not a cookie cutter person. We'll be discussing the stigma in health, the influence we receive to define beauty, and enjoying the process of aging.

Especially if you are trying to build your online presence you need to know what you are providing for your audience. The only way to grow is to provide value. We discuss subjects such as the importance of YOUR integrity, finding a niche, and being educated in the area you're sharing. Enough with the fluff. Lets get back to actually helping our audiences with more than just a pat on the back. Bring back the tools, the resources and actually answering questions.

In Todays episode we will be discussing the term "Washed Up" and how to let go of the labels. It makes me sick to my stomach that some of the reasons people aren't pursuing the things they love is because of the weight they're carrying. We don't need to be holding onto the words others project on us. I also feel its important to identify where we find ourselves currently in our creative journey and if it time to return to our creative endeavors again. We discuss being aged out of the industry and what we can do as well as encouragement to move on from your passion if its not the right fit anymore.

In todays episode, we are discussing 10 Survival Jobs of Broadway Stars Who Made It Big from Playbill. I have brought along my friend Kendra Marie Smith to go through the article featuring stars like Jessie Mueller, Wayne Brady, Lin-Manuel Miranda and thats just to name a few! Its always fun to look at how the people we look as "stars" truly started out in the same way that we did. Knowing that is encouragement itself (At least for me!). We had a few laughs and learned about the stars while swapping stories of our own bad survival job experiences.

In todays episode I touched on the topic of rejection and choosing to look at it from a different light. Don't get me wrong, it isn't easy facing rejection ALL THE TIME. As creatives, we want to be seen and valued for the work that we do. But I do feel like its also important to recognize that just because someone doesn't see the value in you doesn't mean you are worthless. Finding your footing in this world takes time, especially when theres no guide to follow. I hope this reminds you not everything is as it seems.

In todays episode, we are discussing 27 Movie Musicals That were recommended by good ol' Playbill himself during self quarantine. There truly isn't any underlining motivational quote or call to action. This is simply two girls talking about musicals, actors, and probably prom 2k14. I have brought along my friend Kendra Marie Smith along for this conversation who is the closest living, breathing movie musical there is. I thought it would be a nice contrast considering I absolutely despise a good handful of them. Hopefully these conversations makes you smile!

In todays episode we are discussing fear (Dun dun dunnnn!). I have made plenty of fear based decisions in my life and I realized how boring + mundane it became. It was only until I changed my perspective, that I realized how much of a tool it can be. I let fear become my guiding light and I'm going to show you how you can too.
