Louis Avallone and Stephen Parr are trusting the majority of the members of the Shreveport City Council are not going to go along with Mayor Perkins’ proposals, which are either really bad ideas or illegal ideas. In addition to Mayor Perkins' wanting to effectively have complete control over City Finances, the Mayor is proposing a long-term contract involving prices for recycling and city water….which would be a windfall for recycling; but there has been no work done to determine the ultimate financial impact on the residents of Shreveport in this deal. It just says “TBD”, standing for “To Be Determined”.....to be determined after the deal is signed. Really?

After watching the Shreveport City Council work session this afternoon, Louis Avallone explains that Mayor Perkins’ planned restructuring of the city’s financial management, which would put him — Mayor Perkins — personally in control of financial matters, would actually be a violation of the Shreveport City Charter. The rules stated in the City Charter are clear that all amendments to the Charter must first be voted on and approved by the residents of Shreveport. Apparently, the Mayor is ignoring the fundamental governing rules as stated in the Charter. Will the members of the City Council go along with him?

Louis Avallone and Stephen Parr begin this segment talking about the wisdom (or lack of wisdom) for the City to be giving away taxpayer money where they do not have a good measurement of what will actually come back in return. Since that money is going to have to be replaced by the taxpayers, City Council Members should require this information before away taxpayer money to private or to charity entities. Also, there has been a really interesting shuffle in Democrat Presidential Candidate status in the Real Clear Politics poll.

Louis Avallone and Stephen Parr talk about “Black Leaders” deciding to attack others in the Black Community for being independent thinkers. It is time for skin color to stop being the primary reason for making decisions for the community.

Starting out, Louis Avallone tells us Mayor Perkins is to be featured on “Undercover Boss”, which already has been shot. Well….it seems there is a question about Ethics because some of the people in the video are City Employees who were promised “special gifts”. As Stephen Parr summarizes, “Once again, what we have is the City of Shreveport’s Administration doing something that violates the law as it is written, and they go back after they have already done it and said ‘Hey, can we retroactively make this OK?’ It is what they did with the car, it is what they did with the [sewer] emergency declaration. Here we have a chance to get the City shown on National TV and we can’t even do that right?”

Moving on to good news….Gallup reports 90% of Americans are satisfied with how their lives are going.

After explaining more about both Sherricka Fields Jones job status and Mayor Perkins’ car “double-dipping”, Stephen Parr and Louis Avallone talk about States allowing Illegals to have State issued drivers licenses. But the TSA has been depending upon drivers licenses as identification when flying. They use it to issue pre-screening for re-entry as a “trusted traveler”. Unfortunately, states who issue drivers licenses to Illegals are likely going to be causing travel problems for their American citizen residents because the drivers licenses no longer can be trusted.

Louis Avallone and Stephen Parr have just discovered some real confusion (at best) involving the current CAO position and the proposed CFO positions. Hopefully, Mayor Perkins will explain in great clarity and detail at the next City Council what is really going on. Too many questions to not have answers to on this City Governance matter.

He got almost every person in his freshman class to sign on, and then started getting others to sign on as well. Nancy Pelosi never did. Unfortunately, as Speaker of the House, she is the leader of the entire House of Representatives, including members of both parties and independents.
