Next: Leaving the Cleft , A Powerful Pattern - Mike Blume
“Next: Leaving the Cleft” traces a powerful biblical pattern from Moses hidden in the cleft of the rock, to Noah emerging from the ark under the guidance of the dove, to the dove in Song of Solomon being called from the cleft because the rain is over and the flowers have appeared. The cleft pictures our identification with the death of Jesus Christ, but we are not meant to remain in death. Through His resurrection, we are called to walk in newness of life, follow the Spirit, and behold the glory of God with an unveiled face. Like Moses coming down from the mountain shining, believers who behold Christ’s glory are transformed from glory to glory. We must develop our spiritual “dove’s eyes,” hear what the Spirit is saying, leave the cleft, and walk in the light of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ.
