He approaches the ticket agent at Northwest Orient Airlines and requests to purchase a one-way ticket to Seattle aboard flight 305 -- a mere 25-minute journey in the air. The Boeing 727 holds the man and 36 other passengers. He is kindly served a bourbon and soda, but before settling in for the rest of the flight, he brings a briefcase to his lap and calls over to the stewardess. What she witnesses next will change not only the course of the flight, but her life, for everyone on board is about to become involved in the most notorious unsolved flight hijacking in American history. Her eyes glance into the man’s case and widen as she realizes what she sees -- a bomb.
