Courtney Gilmour is a JUNO nominated stand up comedian and television writer. She was a finalist for Canada’s Got Talent, and is an amputee. She is releasing her second comedy album on October 25th called “Wonder Woman” and joined Jacob Shymanski to talk about the rules of stand-up comedy, the process of recording “Wonder Woman” and paranormal experiences.

The 8th annual A11yTO Conference was held at the Microsoft headquarters in downtown Toronto. AMI Today had the opportunity to broadcast live from the conference, and to hold some interviews that are being presented on the show this week.
Today, host Jacob Shymanski is speaking with two speakers from the conference, Lindsay Silver and Sarah Higley. Lindsay is an accessibility coach at T-Mobile and spoke to Jacob about accessible digital product development. Sarah is a web developer at Microsoft and discussed accessibility in control libraries, notifications and chat apps.

AMI Today had the opportunity to attend the A11yTO Conference at the Microsoft Headquarters in Toronto. At the conference, Jacob sat down and spoke with people who are making a difference in digital accessibility. The first interview we’re presenting today is with Steve Saylor. He is an accessibility advocate, consultant, content creator, and creator of the YouTube series “BLIND GAMER.” Steve also hosted the A11yTO Conference.
Then, Jacob speaks with Homer Gaines, a front-end developer with over 30 years of experience and they have an interesting conversation about accessibility, coding, and creating social accessible spaces on the internet through digital design.
