Dirty Epic welcomes aboard @siriogryj for its 98th episode of Amplify Series.

Born in Rome late in the 80s, where he took his first steps deejaying and producing with Black Sam Records around 2010, he became the founder of 'Monolith Records' in 2014. As deejay, sound designer, resident of the former eclectic platform 'Liber Null Berlin', art director of the event series 'Metamorphosis Berlin', Sirio Grimaldi aka Sirio Gry J have been proposing sounds and concepts able to destabilize and renew the scene of Berlin during the last decade.

Focusing on crafting, disclosing and supporting meaningful electronics, the mission to push the boundaries and deconstruct the standard methods led him to forge a unique dark aesthetic as the fruit of an uncompromisable vision which led to establish an identity that made him a key figure in the most underground circuits of the darker music scene of the arty Berlin.

His work also reached the attention of Alessandro Bavari, Italian pioneer of the digital arts (also more recently director of the special effects sequences of Ridley Scott’s ‘Alien Covenant’), with whom he collaborated for several videos as sound designer and musician since 2017. Born in Rome and relocated to Berlin after studying music production in London, he’s been regularly playing in the most iconic clubs that consecrated the Berlin scene during its golden years (such as Berghain Säule, Tresor, About Blank, Grießmühle, KitKat Club, Suicide Circus, Arena Club, Urban Spree, OHM-ex Shift… to name a few) and exported his unique dj sets over Europe (in France, Italy, Greece, United Kingdom, Latvia) and Asia (Japan, South Korea, Taiwan), while releasing tightly on labels like Furanum Records, Overdraw, Mechanical Thoughts, Several Reasons along with the regular contributions for his own imprint Monolith Records and Liber Null Berlin.

Inspired by legends such as Arnaud Rebotini, The Hacker, Terence Fixmer, and David Carretta, NZM 99’s passion for vintage synthesizers has been the driving force behind his artistic journey. The main reason why I chose this particular mix is not because it has a lot of unreleased or exclusive music, but mostly because it captures my current flow, and it was a really fun session :) Still, you can also find some ‘mystery’ beats from myself and friends. One of the most active players shaping contemporary Techno, Temudo has developed his own vocabulary creating a unique trademark sound.

His interpretation of the genre is made through a clinical approach, blending the soul of the genre with a modern and unorthodox methodology.

With the rare ability to absorb and express different moods keeping the same signature sound, he manages to have the seal of a wide spectrum of labels like Klockworks, Blueprint, Soma or Warm Up - whose work speaks for itself.

As a DJ the sharp vision remains, delivering a fast paced eclectic journey with music from different time frames mixed in an coherent and elegant way.

He’s one of the minds behind Hayes and runs his own Mastering Studio: Tema Mastering.

In 2023 Temudo starts a journey into Live performance: his approach has been much less linear than one would expect as it is more of a spontaneous act than a structured, pre-programmed set. This results in each set being completely different, a whole lot of variety and him squeezing Ableton to the limit of sonic possibilities.

Introducing the inaugural release from «Vorm», «Vorm Series: One,» a compelling compilation showcasing five tracks from a lineup of esteemed and emerging producers. This release marks the beginning for the young record label «Vorm», setting a high standard with its diverse and dynamic sounds.

From the producer and «Newrhythmic Records» founder, «Joton», comes «Neon Dystopia.» This opener track of the release plunges into a hard hitting soundscape, blending pulsating basslines with highly pitched atmo surfaces. «Mineral» by Kon Janson dives into a mineral-rich sonic experience, where intricate rhythms meet hypnotic textures. This subterranean grooves is exactly the addition that the A-side needs and rounds off the whole thing as powerfully as possible. «Ricardo Garduno» delivers «They’re Between Us.» This starter track on the B-side is a dark, spacious force of cavernous beats and atmospheres, perfect for those moments of peak-time intensity. Founder «Maasym» presents «Raeder,» a sophisticated blend of an industrial trippy synth line and highly dense effective elements. The track evolves with mechanical precision, emphasizing and focusing on the minimalist effects, percussions and drums. Closing out the release is Berlin-based rising producer & live artist «Peryl» with «Melting Room.» This track is a melting pot of raw-high energy and experimental tones, pushing boundaries with its innovative, detailed sound design.

Kangding Ray is David Letellier

Musician, producer & DJ based in Berlin.

From his early releases on the legendary German imprint raster-noton, to his more recent output aimed at the club, Kangding Ray managed to trace a singular trajectory, navigating the unexplored territories between experimental music and dance music.

Through his consistency as both Live performer and DJ, and a number of critically acclaimed releases, Kangding Ray showed his ability to keep a genuine artistic approach, while slowly crafting a unique universe, equally focused on emotional response and visceral impact.

Kangding Ray’s music tests boundaries, evolving constantly in its exploration of texture and rhythms, while talking equally to the body and the mind.

From his past as architect, Kangding Ray kept a multidisciplinary approach to art, applying his craft in diverse artistic fields such as visual arts, film scores, audiovisual installations and dance performances.
