What started as a short trip turned out to be a new home for Aja. Aja has been living in Santa Marta, Colombia for the past three years. 

She found a passion, amazing people, friends and family in a country that she never imagined she would be living in. 

Aja also found a new set of eyes with which she sees the world and a new approach to the things that she doesn’t quite understand.

In this episode we talk about following your passion and how to start your side project. She shares how she started @migrantvoices and the meaning that the project brings to her life. 

She was able to use her photography skills to explore culture and to help Venezuelan migrants in Colombia.
