Peter Vanek is a retired engineer from Hood River, Oregon, who likes to spend his winters going on long bicycle trips through Central America. This winter, he decided to spend some of his time talking to people in the caravan currently waiting at the U.S. border in Tijuana. Vanek wanted to get a sense for who the people are in the caravan, so he made up a survey, and found a member of the caravan to help him administer it.
