In Star Wars Revenge of the Sith, there was the original concept of Anakin Skywalker being present during Palpatine's fight with the Jedi and Mace Windu, where he offers his blue lightsaber to Sidious. It was later deleted and changed to Anakin showing up when he did, to eventually turn into Darth Vader before Order 66...however before this, the concept was there and filmed to have him walk over Kit Fisto, Agen Kolar and Saesee Tin, the Jedi Masters that Palpatine defeated so effortlessly.

In the novel, it's also different, where Anakin shows up to walk over the bodies and view the speed of Mace and Palpatine as they dance in colors of red and purple, however he is NOT present during the initial arrest and does not throw his lightsaber to Palpatine to use.
