It is not often Congress works to get things done that will wholeheartedly help the people. Two bills in 24 hours are bouncing back and forth with partisan votes or bipartisan votes, the intent to get help to the american people that can be sustaining is working. Infrastructure bill passes Senate with 69- 30 vote, finally compromises are happening. The budget resolution has passed the Senate 50-49 but with doubt that the same old characters of Joe Manchin and Krysten Sinema will turncoat by using GOP talking points. Let's talk about it!

While many try to stay in current housing some are trying to move but hitting obstacles. It seems as landlords are being selective, charging more, or simply not renting until the moratoriums are over for good. I have talked to people from different states to see if they are hitting to same road blocks. Noteworthy, that the eviction moratorium does help a lot of people while hurting some who are trying to do better for themselves. The eviction moratorium is holding the same weight as extra tax dollars given to those who have kids or those who have business interest while those who might had a reduction of hours but not enough to get unemployment or who don't have kids struggle to figure out the next steps of their future.

This is 3 democratic governors in a row in NY that have fallen because of scandals. Maybe the legacies some of these politicians garner is too big for them or maybe they want all the accolades are trying to become legends in their own right. No matter what it is, NY can look ahead with confidence with Kathy Hochul and Letitia James as viable candidates for 2022 governor runs if either or both choose to. Hopefully, the GOP will take a hard reflection at themselves with the likes of Trump, Roy Moore, and Matt Gaetz in the windshield with their own forms of misconduct. The time is now to act.

Cori Bush had a sit in at the capital to get the eviction moratorium expanded, but did it work? The Ohio 11th district has spoken and some are not happy about the results! Is it a surprise? Progressive PACs along with the Nina Turner campaign are claiming Shontel has ethics violations and is bringing in outside influence. It is surprising because Nina was the first to usher in Bernie and AOC into the state of Ohio for her campaign. Between false internal polls and the mudslinging taking place, we are in for a wild primary finish.

Some Democrats clamor to bipartisanship as the route to legislate effectively but imagine if Democrats kept to a message of empathy. A message that can be a dinner table issue that reaches the voters who often vote for GOP candidates. Governors are showing why For the People Act needs to be enacted while GOP senators are pushing a solid front of why compromise & cooperation do not work in a current government. Joe Manchin proved this week why nothing can be accomplish as long as the filibuster in it's current state stays in place and anything put forward by any kind of Democrat will meet disapproval from the GOP.
