#009 - On June 12th, 2016, over 300 people packed the dance floor at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida. It was Latin Night. The people inside Pulse that night came from diverse backgrounds and interests. But all came to the club expecting a fun night at a place known for its inclusive nature. Instead, the night ended in tragedy.
Around 2:00 am, a gunman entered the club armed with an assault-style rifle and handgun. He opened fire within moments of entering the nightclub, killing 49 innocent people and injuring dozens more. When the massacre was over, the Pulse nightclub shooting became the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history. It also became the deadliest attack on the LGBTQ community.
You know what happened, now let’s uncover…why.
