Our world is overly optimistic about human nature. We need a biblical anthropology in order to shape our thinking. Outside of Jesus, we are spiritually dead. But United to him we had been made alive!

We desperately need a fresh vision of God and what he has done for us, otherwise we will just manage the decline of the Church. Paul's prayer for the Ephesians gives us a radical and compelling view of God to lift our sight.

We can't really know ourselves by looking out to others, or into ourselves, but up to God. Ephesians 1 lists six identity statements that are your true reality. These are the most defining things about you!

As Mary weeps by the tomb of Jesus, what will become of her tears? Watch as she encounters the risen Jesus, who turns her weeping to joy, whose resurrection reverses death and darkness, bringing in a new age of life and light.

At the heart of the Easter story is a substitution. Jesus dies in our place. In the face of Barabbas we see ourselves. Our chains are gone, we are set free.
