How do we know whether we are "succeeding" or failing as a church? What will we look  to measure our success?

When the Corinthian church was tempted to look at its own spirituality, its own justice, its own power, Paul reminded them that if we have all things, know all things, have faith to do all things, but have not love, we are nothing.

That means that at Anchor South West we don't look at our buildings, budgets, or bums on seats as the measure of success. Rather, the measure of our success will be how well we love.

What is the church?

Is it a group of people who look and think alike? In many places that seems to be the case. But Pastor Arnaldo will delve into the true nature and purpose of the church as we explore our roots and distinctives as a church. 

The Church is the embodied space where God displays what he can do in, with, and through a community of broken, loved, and repentant people.

Our emotions are major prophets in our lives; they often tell us what we don't want to hear.
