What does it mean to abide in Jesus? 

This week, Pastor Arnaldo will walk us through some of the most famous words of Jesus in John 15. Obedience. We all have different experiences and relationships with the idea of obedience. Many see obedience to a command as oppressive to our true selves. But Jesus paints a different picture. A picture that doesn't coerce obedience but one that sees obedience as a beautiful invitation to enjoy and express God's love, rather than earn it.

You will always have troubles. 

This is a given in life. Regardless of gender, ethnicity, or creed we can all agree, that in life, we will experience pain and disillusionment. The difference is in how we deal with it. 

In our text (John 14:1-14) Arnaldo will guide us through the trouble that Jesus perceives in the heart of his disciples as he prepares them for his departure. And we'll learn that when troubles come Jesus does not offer his disciples pat answers; he offers them lasting presence.
