When you observe how a lion attacks his prey, you’ll notice that the lion is very patient and waits until he sees a weakness in the herd, and attacks one of the animals that's lagging behind. Today, Pastor Marc will be challenging you to remain in fellowship, and not forsake the gathering together with other believers. When you weaken yourself by not participating in the functions of the Body of Christ, you become a weakened believer who starts to lag behind. Don’t make yourself an ideal target for the enemy.   

One of the most memorable moments of John the Baptist is when he states that he must decrease so that Jesus can increase. John knew what his role was, and he also was very aware that Jesus was the Lamb of God who came to take away the sins of the world. As Pastor Marc continues his teaching series through the Gospel of Matthew, he’ll be exhorting you to follow in John's footsteps, and purpose to decrease your own wants and desires, and allow the Holy Spirit to direct you.   

John the Baptist is an interesting character, in that he is considered the last known old testament prophet. Today, Pastor Marc will be explaining how John the Baptist was sent to prepare the way of the Lord and to preach repentance to people that lost their way. Being a Christian and living a repentant lifestyle go hand in hand. You can’t claim to be a follower of Jesus, and choose to live for yourself rather than obey the commands of God. Whatever you need to repent of, do it today without delay!  

One of the most amazing fulfillments of Biblical prophecy that can be seen today is the gathering back of the Jewish people. The Jews were brought back to their homeland of Israel after the holocaust, even though they were displaced from their homeland for thousands of years. As Pastor Marc continues his teaching series through the Gospel of Matthew, he’ll be explaining how God has proven His Authorship of the Bible by prophecies and their very specific fulfillment to the very detail!     

Have you ever noticed how God often supernaturally moves through the natural realm? He can do miracles without the natural realm of course, but many times God answers our prayers but we’re too busy looking for a supernatural spectacle. Today, Pastor Marc will be encouraging you to seek the Lord for guidance in every area of your life. Purpose to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding, acknowledge Him in all your ways and He will direct your path.  

Which description fits your life? That may be a challenging question to answer honestly, but it’s vital that you know where you stand with Jesus. He alone is the source of eternal life and if you reject him because you want to be your own ruler, or if you ignore Him like so many of the religious leaders, those paths lead towards eternal death. In today’s message, Pastor Marc will encourage you to compare your heart to those of the wise men, Herod, and religious leaders and see where you stand.

Whether you’re the king of a nation or just over your own small personal domain, giving up that power is hard. It only gets more challenging the more power that you have. As Pastor Marc continues our study of the book of Matthew in today’s message, we’ll see the hold that power had on King Herod. It led him to murder and imprison his peers, and even to the genocide of thousands of innocent children for fear that one of them was the born King of the Jews that the wise men told him about. 

What if Joseph had walked away from Mary? He may have made it into the Bible, but it likely would have been only a short and not entirely positive footnote. He stepped into God’s will faithfully and was given a key role in bringing up the Son of God. Whether God needed Him or not, He used Him to serve His greater purpose in this world.  As Pastor Marc will challenge us in today’s message, while our roles in God’s work may be much less monumental, that doesn’t mean they aren’t significant.

In today’s message, Pastor Marc will take a look at Joseph’s experience when he found out that Mary had miraculously conceived a child. As most of us would likely consider, he was going to “put her away quietly” in divorce. Under the law at that time, he could’ve had her stoned to death for her unfaithfulness. We can assume that his heart was broken, but in the midst of that brokenness - he received a message from God. Trusting in God’s plan would take him on an entirely different path.

Our God is a gracious, patient God. When you see the evil that abounds in the world, this speaks to His patience. He’s waiting and working, trying to draw the hearts of men to Himself, even while they actively rebel and reject Him. As Pastor Marc will remind us in today’s message, while God’s grace is immeasurable and He can forgive the worst of sinners even on their deathbeds - sin has consequences. Even after you repent, you’ll still experience those consequences in this earthly life.
