Andie Summers Show Podcast

The Flyers in-arena host Andre Helfrich is soo excited for the season to start and for tonight's home opener.  Now, there won't be fans in the stands but she is letting you know what to expect for this season.

Here are some key points:

• Gritty will take center stage after successfully petitioning NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman for attendance at all Flyers home games in his own dedicated area as a key point of entertainment for these fanless games.
• He’ll transform his stage with furniture, props, and maybe even some special guests.

• These alternate jerseys will be worn by the team at one or more games this upcoming regular season
• Player jerseys, and custom options, are available in the New Era Team Store and online at Shop.WFCPhilly.com.

• This rally call for Flyers fans was rolled out for the summertime playoffs and is back for this regular season
• With the ongoing effects of COVID-19, the slogan still holds true and carries on the spirit of the city rallying behind its hockey team regardless of the circumstances.

Barney Corrigan from Westville, NJ has been hit hard during this pandemic.  He had to shut down his catering business but he still wanted to help people during these tough times.

He came with an idea to collect a few canned goods and offer them to people in need. He built a small food pantry for the cans on the front lawn of his home. He took to social media and his food pantry blew up over night.

He outgrew his lawn space so he has moved to his garage.  The pantry is open every other Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Great job Barney!
