A UPS driver from Virginia got a very special gift this holiday season.

Hundreds of local residents stood outside their homes and showed their appreciation for their amazing delivery driver Anthony Gaskin as he drove through the parade. The locals held up signs, cheered, clapped, and honked on their cars to show Gaskin how much they value him.

Patty Friedman who organized the event told WTVR, “Through COVID, Anthony has continued working, delivering packages at our doors, record numbers of them, over 180 times to date." She continued saying, “I wanted to thank him personally for how much he helped me feel welcome when I moved in during a pandemic. It was terribly lonely and he was always the highlight of my day. Mentioning this to a few people and the response I got was all I needed to know I was not alone.”

Adam Finley loves his route as a mail carrier for USPS and finding ways to help the neighborhood during his long shifts.

When the local Georgia schools turned virtual he couldn't help but feel bad for the students stuck inside all day. He decided to bring a little cheer to the Jones sisters Eva, 7 and Aria, 6  and started a Tic-tac-toe game on an index card. The first of many.

Finley told CNN, "These girls haven't been able to go to school or see their classmates all year. I thought, 'What can I do to bring a smile to their faces? Something different, something to bring some excitement for the day.'"

The girls were so excited and every morning the girls would run to the mailbox at 7:30 in the morning to see Finley's latest move.

Finley says he would let the girls win so he could give them a prize. "They are always so excited to win," Finley said. "I've surprised them with gift cards for ice cream, flavored popcorn, anything to make them smile."

Way to make their days brighter Finley!
