Andie Summers Show Podcast

A huge storm hit Iowa this past August... Winds reached up to 140mph and left a ton of damage behind. 12 year old Tommy Rhomberg  was driving around town with his family and saw people with their houses completely destroyed and he wanted to help somehow.

His best friend's birthday party was cancelled because of the storm so he wanted to do some special for him... His friend's favorite sport is baseball so why not a homemade baseball bat made from fallen tree limbs. This gave Tommy a brilliant idea.. .What if he repurposed tree branches that had been taken down in the storm—and turned them into bats for sale? Tommy knew just what to do with some of the money raised through his efforts: It could go towards helping storm victims rebuild.

Harry Ulmer was on his lunch break at 2 a.m. when he heard a man screaming. The man fell into the Delaware River while taking a selfie. Harry jumped a fence and through a rope to the man. He reeled him in before medics arrived and took the man to the hospital to be treated for hypothermia.

Brian Kemlsey is a 33 year old Muay Thai coach and he used his training to stop a kidnapping last week in NYC. He saw a man was acting a little crazy and went to grab a baby inside of a stroller from a woman.  Brian pinned the guy down for 15 minutes until police arrived.

Brian was quoted by The Post “I was trying to get him away from the mother, and let her get away to safety … But toward the end of it, I was also trying to keep the guy safe from the mob."

We heard yesterday that Philly will be shutting down indoor dining and large gatherings on Friday.  Andie was just in Florida to drop her mom off back home and she noticed that Florida is not abiding by many rules.  No Social Distancing, a few masks, she said people were basically on top of each other.

Get it together, Florida!

This past weekend, Andie hosted Thanksgiving early for her family that were going out of town.  She never cooked a turkey before so we asked XTU Nation for their recipes or any tips they might have.

Well, it was a complete success!  She said it was the best turkey she ever had.  Thank you XTU Nation!

Business Insider says the astronauts aboard the SpaceX rocket that launched yesterday for the International Space Station took along a Baby Yoda doll from ''The Mandalorian.''

They aren't just bringing it because it's adorable but they are also using it as their zero gravity indicator. When the toy floats, the astronauts will know they have reached zero gravity.
