Andor episodes 1-3 had many flashbacks of young Cassian Andor with his tribe, as they see a ship crash landing with plumes of green smoke. Maarva claims these are Republic pilots however, we see the symbol on their suits claim otherwise. This symbol is of the CIS, Count Dooku's CIS, that is.

So why are Republic men dressed in CIS uniforms? I think there's so much more to this plot that we don't know, yet.
