This is the heartbreaking case of Andrea Venter, a young South African woman who suffered years of horrible domestic abuse at the hands of her boyfriend, Gerhard Jansen van Vuuren.
Like many young romances, the beginning of the relationship was perfect - everything she dreamed of. However, as time passed, he became emotionally and physically abusive to Andrea, while isolating her from all of her friends and family.

Eventually, she found the strength to serve Gerhard with a restraining order and decided to move far away, with a new job, where she could start fresh without her ex knowing where she lived. But, he didn’t respect the restraining order. He would track her down and attack her in broad daylight, in a horrific murder that was captured on camera.

What should have been an open and shut case would turn into an almost decade-long fight for justice, as the system continued to fail Andrea even after her death. And you’ll never believe what her killer ex-boyfriend did after he was arrested.
