Alex has become very active in the anti horse slaughter movement while he is managing this online community. He has written numerous articles on the topic.

Alex is now writing a book, Greatness and Goodness, Barbaro and his legacy. In this book Alex explores the passion and commitment to do good that has manifested as a result of Barbaro. Much of this work has targeted the end horse slaughter.
