The Arrancar can invade Karakura Town of their own free will? Isshin Kurosaki is a Soul Reaper? Who are the Visored, and why are they similar to Ichigo in having a hollow mask? How powerful is Ulquiorra, Yammy, and Grimmjow, and will Ichigo be able to power up enough in time to save Orihime? Tune in as the class discusses the "Arrancar Invasion Arc" and what our thoughts were on all of these new interesting characters. This week the class continues their journey with prince Bojji to save his family's kingdom. Did the threat of Miranjo and her group of convicts live up to the hype? How did Bojji continue to refine his newfound swordsmanship? Were we able to save prince Daida, and what was King Bosse's true motivation? Tune in as the class debates if "Ranking of Kings" lived up to the hype it received around the anime community and what our thoughts were on all the twists and revelations. 

This week we meet Prince Bojji, a boy who is deaf, naive, and faces many criticisms, but above all else, he does his absolute best to achieve his dreams of becoming the greatest of kings. The story was directed by Yōsuke Hatta and Makoto Fuchigami and animated by Studio Wit, and oh my goodness, they did a fantastic job bringing this fantasy story to life. We deal with various versions of betrayal, mystery, and power as multiple individuals within this story attempt to reach the position of "King." Tune in as the main protagonist and best boy discuss who we enjoyed the most, disliked, and what we're hoping to happen in part 2 of Prince Bojji's adventure. 

This week the class delves into a more serious type of anime named "Kotaro Lives Alone." This Netflix series has flown under the radar in the community and is something that definitely shouldn't be judged by its animation quality. Directed by Tomoe Makino, “Kotaro Lives Alone” is an animated series that narratively follows the heartfelt story of a kid who has lived through neglect and abuse and is now trying to lead an independent life. The story deals with issues that a lot of abandoned kids face. It sheds light on the complex nature of victims of emotional abuse. The series has been authored by Hiroshi Sato and animated by Liden Studio. Tune in as we discuss our thoughts on some of the serious tones this story takes as we learn more about Kotaro and his situation. 

This week the class visits an alternate universe with bubbles raining down upon the world that simply just breaks the laws of gravity. With "Bubble" being Netflix's latest installment of anime movies, the class wanted to tune in and see the hype around this visually stunning work of art. "Bubble" is directed by Tetsuro Araki, director of the first seasons of Attack on Titan, from a script by Psycho-Pass and Fate/Zero writer Gen Urobuchi, character designs by Death Note co-creator Takeshi Obata, and contains a theme song from popular singer Eve. Studio WIT went above and beyond with their animation for this latest installment but did the story of Bubble live up to the hype of the amazingly animated parkour scenes and vibrant colors that portray this alternate version of Tokyo. Tune in and see what our thoughts are on the latest Netflix anime movie release. 

This week the class is pulling out our shamisen and learning how to perform a whole new tune. Mashiro no Oto, also known as "Those Snow White Notes" is a fairly new anime that recently aired in the Spring 2021 season. We follow Setsu and his classmates all on their own journey to find their own unique sounds. Will Setsu be able to perform his grandfather's song? Will the class be able to accomplish their own hopes and dreams? Will our club figure out how to tune/play our own shamisen? Tune in as we discuss "Those Snow White Notes". 

This week it was finally revealed to the class who the traitors were amongst the Gotei 13. We also start seeing multiple examples of one of the best powers in Bleach known as "Bankai". Overall, shit is going wild, captains are fighting captains, Ichigo is experiencing an extremely fast training arc, and Aizen is putting everyone under a gen-jutsu! Things are really getting out of hand in the second half of the soul society arc, so be sure to tune in and hear our thoughts on this grand finale, and what our main protagonist thinks is going to happen next. 

This week we review Hiroya Oku's "Inuyashiki Last Hero". Going back 5 years to 2017, Studio Mappa did a fantastic job at adapting this overall "question of morality" series. We begin to follow the story of Inuyashiki, who is going through a rough patch in life, and his journey to becoming a "Hero" after he's suspiciously transformed into a robot after being hit by a magical bright light. We also follow the story of Hiro's transformation as well, what he decides to do with his newfound power, and what it is exactly that makes him feel "human". Tune in and see how we felt about some of the most controversial moments and the series overall. Also, remember that One Piece is crazy good and you should definitely be reading and watching! 

This week the class is heading to Soul Society. We join Ichigo, Chad, Orihime, and Ishida after regaining our powers to save Rukia! We begin to meet the members of the Gotei 13, and begin to learn the dynamics/rules that make up the Soul Society. Tune in and hear our thoughts on the first half of this rescue mission and see what our thoughts were on the story as a whole at this point. See if our main protagonist, Avery is still enjoying this classic, and see if he's excited for what is to come down the line. Get ready to learn the next level of a Shinigami's power - Bankai.

This week the boys dive back into the hit comedy Rom Com, "Kaguya-Sama: Love is War".  We continue to explore the student council's relationship dynamics and even meet our new member. Is Chika still best girl? Why is the narrator in English and Japanese so good! Is the OVA the best episode?
