This week the class goes back to an anime classic "FLCL". This coming-of-age story was originally created by Kazuya Tsurumaki and the staff of  Gainax, Production I.G, and King Records. This brilliant sexually charged anime that's barely about sex follows our main protagonist "Naota" and his journey in learning how to become an adult. Along the way, we meet a wonderful wacky cast of characters and personalities that help balance and make this anime even weirder than any other show you've seen before. So tune in this week as we iron out those wrinkles, and hear what our thoughts are on this original anime classic and what themes we took away as being most important to us! 

This week the club returns to Itan Private High School, Class 1-A, and joins our cast of favorite wacky and special individuals. This season we were joined by a handful of new faces and personas while Komi continued her journey to 100 friends! Tune in as we discuss who were some of our new favorites, and who we would like to see in a potential season 3 classroom. What moment, or episode stood out the most to you? Are you enjoying Komi S2? This week the class reviews arguably one of the most popular animes of the Spring 2022 season, Spy x Family! We meet Twilight, an undercover spy who was just given his new mission, known as "Operation Strix". Throughout this journey, we meet his adoptive daughter Anya, who has some secrets of her own, along with his wife Yor, who has quite an interesting career path as well. Join us on the Forger family journey as they play "pretend family" in order for each of them to achieve their own personal goals and world peace. Did you fall in love with the Forger's? This week the class returns to Shuchiin Academy to revisit the student council and attend the Cultural Festival. After a LONG school year, the class president and vice president have finally made it official! Tune in as we discuss what were some of our favorite moments of season 3, and what our character's final win/loss records were for both season 3 and the anime overall. Fingers crossed we get a season 4 announcement soon! 

The class has finally sat down to discuss arguably one of/if not the greatest series of all time "One Piece". Hear our thoughts on the story and characters as a whole and the latest developments of the plot before the manga returns on July 25, 2022.

Operation take down Kaido has finally been completed! The decade-long alliance of the Straw Hats and Trafalgar Law has finally come to fruition. Bounties have been raised, new titles have been given, and a new face officially joins our beloved Straw Hat crew! Tune in as we discuss some of our most favorite moments of the latest monumental arc "Wano". Hear what we think is to come, and what questions we'd like answered in the final saga of One Piece.

This week the class continues their journey in Bleach with the introduction to the Hueco Mundo arc. With Orihime captured by Aizen's forces, Ichigo heads to Hueco Mundo to get her back followed by Chad, Ishida, and later Rukia and Renji. Along the way, they're joined by a childlike yet friendly Arrancar, Nel, and her little group as they invade Aizen's stronghold and contend against the Arrancars guarding it. Will we be able to finish Bleach in time before TYBW begins in October? Tune in and hear our thoughts on the beginning of the Hueco Mundo arc and what our main protagonist Avery thinks is going to happen next.

This week the class dips into some good ole "Boys Love" or BL to celebrate Pride Month. Yes, we know this episode will air in July, we fucked up our release schedule, BUT back to the gay. This series was written and illustrated by Natsuki Kizu and aired during the summer of 2019 with a movie to follow in 2020. We mainly follow the story of Mafuyu and his journey to find his voice following the death of his boyfriend Yuki, whose guitar he carries with him every day. We meet the other band members Ritsuka, Haruki, and Akihiko who help Mafuyu on his journey. Kizu creates a world that feels lived in, and her characters seem real. It’s a slow burn, yes, but it’s also simple in a way that BL, or “Boys’ Love,” isn’t often depicted. Confessions aren’t always explosive or volatile; sometimes, they’re quiet realizations and clumsy kisses.

This week the class goes back to the year 1999 and travels to Morioh, a normally quiet and peaceful town that has recently become engulfed in strange activity. This season follows the adventures of Josuke Higashikata, the illegitimate son of Joseph Joestar, as he and his new friends hunt for an evasive magical bow and arrow which has granted people dangerous Stand powers, uprooting Josuke's previously quiet life.
