Anime Pulse

This week on VG Pulse, tis the great season of scandals! We start off with side notes of me finally escaping my retail prison and everyones vehicles feeling extra needy, before diving into the regular news where we go through the multitude of major blowouts the industry has experienced over the last month! We go over the latest from the Mastercard/Visa situation, before diving into the newest shitstorm on the block with Roblox! In addition to that, Epic keeps getting W’s in the courts, and people in Japan wasted a lot of McDonalds to get Pokemon cards! After the news, we finish off with talk of movies and anime! All …

Two boxes of farm fresh reviews. Hand selected, never touched by AI. That’s our promise to you. Those dastardly clankers won’t get their oily mitts on our work. We’ll keep doing this our way because our listeners don’t tolerate stilted voices reading barely sensible scripts cranked out by someone with excess tokens to waste. Tim has Mars Red. It’s set in Japan in the nineteen twenties. There are vampires that are under command of the Japanese government. Their job is to hunt down rogue vampires in the nation and either bring them into the fold or kill them. There are also foreign vampires but we don’t see to many of …

This week on Anime Pulse we got the last episode of previews in a special Gattai show, popular anime are passed on, and chicken burgers are shown off. Up first Joseph talks about his experience with the Director's Cut of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and Andrew is gauging our cooking skills with what anime foods we think we could recreate. Then in the industry news we got nothing. And finally it's the special Gattai with Joseph trying to avoid bunny girl cosplaying idols in university while a giant death worm eats everyone, and Andrew takes to the skies with cute girls.

It’s been a hot minute since we’ve had a solid theme episode around Nicolas Cage. But just grabbing three movies of our patron saint is too easy. The man has a long filmography which makes it way too easy to cherry pick. So we decided to narrow things down and focus on Westerns made with Cage. First up is Gunslingers[2025]. We start off with some atrocious CGI establishing the era and time. Three men get into a fight, one gets burnt and another gets shot. Fast forward to a town called Redemption where retired outlaws all hide out. Mr Burnface shows up looking for his brother. The dead man in …

This week on Anime Pulse we got horny islands, painful walks, and fighting games. Up first Joseph recounts his journey on Friday of walking 16 miles, and Andrew is still on that fighting game grind after a rank reset. Then in the industry news we have none, don't worry though Andrew will talk about something later on. And finally round four of previews has Joseph escaping from horny women so he can solo camp and make dishes using math, while Andrew rolls some rocks at some pins in the city.

Another manga show, so another pair of manga and a pair of ratings. Just another day in paradise where the manga is always ready to be smacked down or uplifted. You would be wrong though and gloriously so. We actually have three manga today though one dovetails right into the other. Like a box joint of mixed metaphors. Tim has a request in Dragonball. Yes, the manga the really made Akira Toriyama the name he was and this is an omnibus of the first three volumes. If you’ve ever watched the original anime then you’ve seen this origin story. Bulma is hunting dragon balls with her detector and runs, literally, …

This week on VG Pulse, a lot of things blew up all at once! We start off with side notes of how miserable this summer is, before diving into the multiple fallouts of the last week! Including but not limited to, Ironmouse pulling the pin on the VShojo grenade and igniting a VTuber revolt, Visa and Mastercard pushing for hardcore censorship of media, and multiple platforms trying to force people to hand over their ID and/or face in order to use the internet! After the news we finish off with talk of food and anime! All this and more up next on VGP 421!! Music Intro – Persona 4 reach …

This week on Anime Pulse we got round three of summer previews, another end of a vtubing era, and flat tires. Up first Joseph recounts his time driving home on a flat tire, and Andrew reached High Master. Then in the industry news Vshojo shuts down with plenty of drama, and VISA gets told down by Japan to quit throwing around its weight. And finally the previews get Joseph reincarnated into a land of trash as a water magician who brings the Apocalypse, and Andrew goes swimming in a game center wearing nothing but stockings with a garterbelt.

We have bad news for you, bank teller person. The robbery is coming from inside the bank! Of course robberies usually happen inside a bank if they are bank robberies. Ones conducted outside of them are can be classified as cash in transit heists if the thieves are stealing from the vehicle itself. Important notes if you’re planning on being listed on the FBI’s list of most wanted bank robbers. That way you can say you were on the scoreboard when you’re in federal prison. In that vein Weltall has Inside Man[2006]. The Clive Owen and Denzel Washington movie directed by Spike Lee about a bank heist. Only it’s not …

It’s hot in Topeka so we recommend that you stay hydrated. Also don’t forget to grab a string cheese on the way out. We bought them in bulk and don’t want to see them expire. Hell, take two and have one for later. We also have the knock off bag juice products. Capone Solar really isn’t that bad if you don’t mind the taste of old orange and pickle juice. Tim has Dazzle. Which is a Tokyo Pop product and boy does it bring back memories. A girl gets kicked out of her house and immediately teams up with the male protagonist. He’s silver haired, broody, and has the weird …
