Hello, we’re Manga Pulse and we thank you for choosing us today. We have a lovely set of specials right now. A very seasonal word salad made from only the worst quality slang and confusion. Peppered with silliness brought on by anything mentioned within the news. Braised with whatever alcohol was on sale. This is all paired with a tasty set of reviews on only the freshest of manga, left to sit on the warehouse dock through the weekend. Tim has Fire Force. This takes place in a world where there are fire demons randomly popping out of people and burning everyone around them. In response, there are dedicated fire …

We need some sort of inspiration for a film choice. We’ve drawn from novel adaptations. Foreign films. Ok, let’s see if we can find a movie based on a hentai. We’ll just turn to the old fashioned internet oracle. And that was darn fast. Though this is less hentai and more ecchi. Fuck it, we ball. We’ve got Kite[2014]. India Eisley is a girl who murders people. Samuael Jackson is sort of her handler. He gives her a drug called Amp after she finishes a job. Though it screws with memory. Which makes things difficult as she’s trying to find out who killed her dad. Lucky for her she starts …

We don’t always review manga but when we do, we do. And sometimes we do only one. But we’re pretty sure that hasn’t happened a whole lot. Unless it does and then we don’t care. But we also don’t want to be badgered by anyone if we’re wrong. Tim has Beet the Vandel Buster. Beet, named after his father’s favorite crop to grow because this is a fantasy universe originating from The Office. Dwight’s long lost grandson fights Vandel’s which are demons. There’s power levels and spiritual powers. Also there’s a guild and a dollar store knock off of Sauske. It’s not as bad as all that might seem to …

There was a time when the buddy comedy could be found in many theaters. You couldn’t throw a cheap quarter pounder without hitting a movie poster where some cop was teamed up with some other unorthodox character. We used to be a real country, darn it. We take a visit back to those halcyon days where we knew who was the bad guys(it was the French). We have Red Heat(1988). It’s a team up between a Chicago cop and a Soviet Cop. Jim Belushi plays the Chicago man and Arnold Schwarzenegger plays the Soviet. And yes, his unmistakable Austrian accent shines through the Russian he learned for the role. Tim …
