Anime Pulse

Everyone likes to save a buck here and there. Some people do that by reusing things like sandwich bags. Others will take trips to the outlet mall and stock up on irregulars. To that end, you should stock up on our irregular reviews. By that we mean imperfect and not off of a proper schedule. Though we do sometimes have scheduling changes. Because we are imperfect but we try harder. Tim has Galaxy Express 999 in honor of the now late Meiji Matsumoto. It’s a unique style for even the seventies where a deformed homunculus named Tetsuo lives on earth with his mother. They’re freezing and dreaming of having robot …

This week on Anime Pulse we got Big Brother sushi, a surprising pick of a favorite character, and the series we are befuddled that have not received an anime adaptation. Up first Joseph hurts all over because he spent a couple hours shoveling snow, and Andrew is feeling a bit lethargic. Then in the industry news we morn the passing of a true great in the vtubing community due to twitter idiocracy, we will forever have a kettle shaped hole in our hearts. And finally in the reviews Joseph is kicking it to the beat of the OP and ED playing for a super skeleton, and Andrew is trying to make us cry by breathing some air.

Alright ladies. Get your makeup on, your teeth polished, and your tits waxed. Except you, Miss Sicily. You’re just doing what you can with what god gave you. While we’re waiting for them to get their act together, we’ve got a movie in the vein of the beauty industry. We’ve got the mockumentary, Drop Dead Gorgeous(1999). It’s centered on a small town’s beauty contest that feeds into a larger national one. Kind of like a Dollar General version of Miss America. There’s more than a few jokes about small towns in the Midwest and then someone starts killing off potential contestants. There’s a twist you might not see coming and …

This week on Anime Pulse we got an end to endless cookies, preventative maintenance, and a very mid summoner. Up first Joseph is ready to enjoy a three day weekend as he has the suspension in his car replaced, and Andrew is asking us what our least and most favorite instances of Deus Ex in anime are. Then in the industry news we cover topics like the passing of another great anime and manga author, some anime award announcements, and bird flu killing an offer on delicious cookies. And lastly in the reviews Joseph is pretty unenthused about being isekai'd into an anime adaptation, and Andrew goes full Super Saiyan God mode on an overgrown cat's ass.

This week on VGP, we have the biggest derp that we’ve EVER had in the history of this show LOL. We start out with side notes of snow and work, before diving into the regular news where we discuss Logan Paul back at it again, Nintendo getting away with joycon drift, a lot of cheaters getting their just desserts, and a lot of legal cases getting settlements!! After the news we go over the discord discussions… for the uh… second time in a row… lolol…. before heading off into Millennium and I’s joint review of the absolutely phenomenal Superliminal. We finish off with talk of anime, anime award shows, and …

How many organs do people need actually? If you know and are some sort of organ expert, we need your feedback. Apparently the local prosecutor has decided that local children and obnoxious adults need ALL of them. They were clearly not using them based on their social media post history. When you repost MLM scams you’re signaling to the world that your kidneys are free to a good home. Onto the manga, Tim has Skeleton Double. Arakawa’s dad dies by sudden impalement in a cross walk. Eight years later, a skull with exclamation points gets delivered in a box to his door. The skull offers him the ability to turn …

This week on Anime Pulse we got shocking non-dropped anime, stealing New Year's Post Cards, and a spicy wolf. Up first Joseph is already planning a trip to Otakon in 2024, and Andrew is stuck in Scotland. Then in the industry news we talk about a real meaty Burger King sandwich, the reason why anime are being delayed so often these days, and the One Piece studio wants to keep making money. Finally in a rare Gattai show, Joseph is bullied by a pink gorilla while Andrew pets the fluffy tail of a wolf god.

Before the made for streaming movies there were made for TV movies. Those still exist if you count Hallmark and other channels. Most are crap but every once in a while someone would put a nice modest budget together and see what happens. Which is how we got The Park Is Mine(1985) from HBO. We open with a man at the top of a hospital, yelling about no one listening. He jumps to his death. In comes Tommy Lee Jones who plays a Vietnam war veteran. The jumper was his friend and had set up a bunch of ammo caches around Central Park and a plan for shutting it down. …

This week on Anime Pulse we got a really expensive Pokemon card, disappointing potlucks, and more dropped anime. Up first Joseph is debating participating in the next company potluck at his offline job, and Andrew pulls through on putting a community question out before the day of the podcast managing to get some real responses. Then in the industry news we got some interesting news about Valentie's Day in Japan, a shocking reply from the Aussies, and tickets to a few episodes of Demon Slayer in HD. And lastly the final previews dedicated show of the season as Joseph protests a new Anos while running a laundry business, and Andrew gets stuck in a sea of snow while watching a villainess from above.

Psst, hey kids? It’s Papa Disney here. You like Star Wars? Good, you like expanded universe stuff? Of course you do. No, we’re not bringing back the Zhan novels and integrating them into canon. You think we like money? We’ve got all sorts of soft reboot tie ins that piss right in your eye. So, whadaya say? Wanna drop your life savings on remembering the good times? Tim has The Legends of Luke Skywalker The Manga. Yes, that is the whole title sitting on the the cover. Like a Japanese light novel, it’s exactly what it says in the title. It’s various tales of Luke doing things in the SW …
