Up first Joseph recaps his trip to Florida and subsequent summer cold, and Andrew would like to know what anime protagonists we feel for. Then in the industry news a One Piece film makes a lot of yen, and Project G is announced for excited mecha fans everywhere. Lastly we have a special Gattai episode as Joseph continues to play the Fantasy Kingdom Simulator, and Andrew raises some orphan girls to defend Earth from Animus.

Was the seventies a disaster? We like to think so. Carter was in office. Oil Embargos were happening. Nuclear power plants were being protested. Disco was on the rise. Hollywood must have assumed it was the end times and found a love of the disaster film. So we grabbed a few for the show. We kick it off with a large block buster affair. The Towering Inferno(1974). A brand new skyscraper in downtown Los Angeles is about to open. It’s super advanced and the safest tower ever built. Until Paul Newman finds that some of the wiring was not up to his spec as a sub-contractor cut corners to take …

Hey there Anime Pulse listeners, it is I, Andrew! Usurping the throne that is the Anime Pulse host for the week I have also summoned a heero from the community to serve as a guest. We start of with some introductions from Heero also going by Matthew as he talks about his anime experience and what he’s been up to lately. For the industry news Matthew covers developments for anime live events, from the Crunchyroll Awards to a new iteration of Anime Expo, meanwhile talk about the final nail in the coffin that was the Vic Mignogna defamation lawsuit. Finally there’s the Previews where Heero pursues romance in the healthiest …

Coming to you straight from the home of the Keebler elves. No, not wherever some factory that Nabisco claims to own. We’re doing this now from a tree in the middle of the woods. Around us lay the corpses of those that dared so stand in the way of our hunger for grasshopper cookies. The rest are hiding out in the back, cranking on the cookie machine. Which means we’re here and, like the only proper oreo, double stuffed with reviews. Tim has a new entry in manwha with Hell 58. In the future of Terra, there’s crime. The best way to deal with evil criminals is to consign them …

Well, the patron saint of our show finally did a movie that was meta. So naturally we had to do it. Nicolas Cage in The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent[2022]. Cage plays Cage, an actor who was better respected once and needs work. Which leads him to taking a gig doing a birthday engagement for a wealthy man who is a cartel leader. Pedro Pascal plays the head of the cartel who also happens to be a massive fan of Cage. The CIA recruits cage to help them find the kidnapped daughter of a Spanish Presidential candidate who was taken by the cartel. So Cage sticks around by offering to …

This week on Anime Pulse we got Not-Sagiri, Shinto Shrines exploding, and a lack of IRL news. Up first Joseph has nothing to say beyond he's ready for Florida, and Andrew is jumping the shark in this week's community segment. Then in the industry news we learn that COVID has turned ravenous otaku into model citizens, Kirby had an anime, and Bleach's latest arc is rumored to be available only on The Mouse. And lately our final previews episode has Joseph delving back into a dungeon to pickup girls and fight huge moss, while Andrew tries to be a proper lady by drinking tea at a cafe for retired weapons of mass destruction.

This week on Anime Pulse we got a terrible loss of aquatic life, isekai slaves, and crumpets. Up first Joseph has two new UK foods he's tried, and Andrew is ready to assign us our own Gojo-kun to get our cosplay on. Then in the industry news we hear about a robbery that goes very wrong for the owner of the site, and an end to Right Stuff's erotic material as they become acquired by the monopoly that is Crunchyroll. And finally another previews show has Joseph saving up gold in another world to buy a slave but then can't bring himself to sex her, and Andrew is employee of the month at MgRonalds after meeting a vampire at night.

With all the targeted marketing branching out, I have an idea. There’s an underutilized market that’s ripe for tapping. The boomers. You might counter that they see foreign comics as degenerate. I counter that there’s a large chunk of them that are secretly degenerates and can be swayed by the argument that it’s art. Or just blast their DMs with animu titties and they’ll eventually come around. Tim has Get Schooled. A manwha that would make the actual boomers as excited as an anteater in the insect pavilion. It’s set in the vaguely immediate future of South Korea. Schools have become a nightmare after the banning of corporal punishment resulting …

This week on Anime Pulse we got driving on a suspended license, Yakuza: Like a Babysitter, and anime that the FBI might come after you for watching. Up first Joseph has to spend a boatload of the money he was trying to save up for his upcoming vacation to Florida, and Andrew is wire-free as he asks us to expose our deep dark anime search history. Then in the industry news a solo topic and a timely one, as a man drives for over 50 tears without a proper license. And finally another previews episode as Joseph wakes up from a 17-year coma in another world and has to babysit his boss's daughter, and Andrew goes even deeper into the abyss to discover more KATETO-SAMA.
