This week’s guest preacher is activist, playwright and actress, Anna Deavere Smith. Known for her incredible work in theatre and film, Anna was the cathedral’s first Artist in Residence in 2012, where she premiered “On Grace”. Former President Barack Obama awarded her the National Endowment for the Humanities Medal in 2012, and she has received several awards across the arts and journalism. Her latest work, Notes from the Field, is viewable on YouTube.
