Kalen joins the king’s army at the bottom of the pass. He sees the dragon and wonders how it can be defeated. It seems to him like the army is spread out like dragon fodder, waiting for the first attack.

Life returns to normal for Kalen and Kade after their adventure with Princess Laetha. But then the queen dies in childbirth and the country is left without an heir, soldiers begin disappearing in the forest on the far side of Gorin, and people fear the dragon has returned. Kalen wants nothing to do with any of it, until his father insists he might be the only one who really can defeat the dragon.

Princess Laetha leads Kalen and Kade through the castle. The boys can hardly believe the wonders that meet their eyes! She takes them to the courtyard so they can find their parents.

Kalen and Kade explore Raliston, only to get lost and be found by none other than Princess Laetha. She takes them to the palace to find their parents. Neither Kalen nor Kade could have imagined the wonders contained inside the castle walls!

Welcome to my podcast, Anna Reads! I’ve been writing since I was nine years old but I didn’t consider myself a real writer until about 7 years ago.
